 The Big Takeover is a unique concoction of backgrounds and spirits mixed and shaken to create a fresh and vivid take on roots reggae. NeeNee Rushie - born and raised in Jamaica - is a captivating and memorable front woman, supported by a playful horn section, pulsating bass and drums, and a hypnotizing rhythm section that fills its audience’s hearts with good vibes and solid joy.
This New York based band was formed in 2008, and since then has played over 500 shows in cities all over the east coast. They have released two full length studio albums, and anticipate a third by the new year. She's toured & recorded with jazz greats Kenny Werner, Joe Lovano, Rufus Reid, Jack DeJohnette, Charlie Haden, Steve Swallow, Bill Frisell, John Lindberg, Gerry Hemingway, Larry Goldings, Mal Waldron and Gunther Schuller among others in the US and Europe.

We're excited to welcome the very talented Addie Brownlee back to our 12 Grapes stage. Addie Brownlee's voice has been compared to Dusty Springfield. It's Americana, Alt/Country, Singer/ Songwriter. "If Brownlee's voice is of the dust, the earth, then her lyrics are a hard rain. Eroding the surface of things, exposing feelings that aren't easily expressed or classified, but so familiar..." Addie notes Dolly Parton as her biggest influence, and recently did a tribute at NYC's The Living Room. Addie was joined onstage by Martha Wainwright. Her song, "Sea Legs" off her new EP, "East of Leaving" also features a cameo by Ms Wainwright.

 After having worked for several years on the Canadian jazz scene with the great guitarists Sonny Greenwich, Mike Gauthier & Nelson Simons, and saxophonists Steve Grossman & Pat LaBarbara, John Menegon then went on to hone his skills in NYC in the mid-80s.
Since moving to NY City to study Jazz at Long Island University on a full scholarship, John has performed/recorded with Dewey Redman, David “Fathead” Newman, Matt Wilson, Frank Kimbrough, John Hicks, and Yoron Israel.
In addition to touring, recording, and composing, Menegon is currently a professor of jazz at SUNY New Paltz. He has developed an online course for the History of Jazz & Rock, and has created and taught Jazz Workshops on the music of Jaco Pastorius, Miles Davis, and Charles Mingus at Williams College (Williamstown, MA). He has also taught master classes at Jazz Festivals around the world, including the Panama Jazz Festival (2012), Bolzano (2011) and San Miguel de Allende. |

 Brooklyn-to-New Paltz emigre, singer/song writer/guitar player Tyler Mason met bassist Mark Reynolds and drummer Nick DePalma. When joined by guitarist and brother Evan Mason, the Breath Collective was formed.
Since, the four members strive to evolve and venture into unknown territory.
TBC will be releasing their DEBUT ALBUM consisting of their first set of songs, as well as some explorations into new sounds.

Ed’s interpretation of the music of iconoclastic composer Frank Zappa has brought him wide recognition. Downbeat magazine gave “the ed palermo big band plays the music of frank zappa” a 4-star review. Palermo’s second CD of Zappa material, entitled “Take Your Clothes Off When You Dance” has been received with equal enthusiasm.
The latest release, 'Oh No! Not Jazz!!' consists of two albums - the first explores Ed's distinctive interpretations of Frank Zappa's work and works from original Mothers Of Invention,with a vocal by guest Napoleon Murphy Brock.
