 The luscious vocal duo Amy Fradon and Leslie Ritter will appear in concert at Unison Arts Center for a special evening of old favorites, original solo pieces and cover songs culled from their three acclaimed CD's. Helen Avakian and Cathie Malach will join them on guitar and keyboards, respectively.
Amy Fradon and Leslie Ritter have a successful recording and performing career as a singing duo for more than 12 years before deciding to pursue solo careers and other endeavors. A few years ago they performed together for a reunion concert and had such a good time they decided to play together a few times a year. This evening at Unison will give audiences an opportunity to witness the beauty and magic that happens when these two voices come together.

Among so many others, Bill's worked with greats such as Claude Thornhill, Stan Getz, Eddie Condon, Gerry Mulligan, Zoot Sims, Al Cohn, Phil Woods, & Quincy Jones. He also toured with the Benny Goodman Band on their historic 1962 tour of Russia.

Greg Westhoff has performed on the Tonight Show and is the orchestra drummer for "Family Guy".  Singer, songwriter, guitarist, and tap dancer, Liana Gabel, lives to perform live in intimate solo settings as a one-woman band, or screaming her heart out with her rocking backup band (the Liana Gabel Band).
Born and raised in Rochester NY, Liana made her home in the Hudson River Valley, lending her unique voice to the regionalal music scene.
Apart from fronting her own band, she has appeared in a steady stream of different projects—jazz quintet Liana and the Michaels, an EP of songs with songwriter Oscar Bilger, and currently performing with Los Doggies. Her own debut solo studio album—Rest and Heal—was released in 2013.

12 Grapes' Live Band Karaoke is like traditional karaoke -- people choose a song from a list and sing when it's their turn-- but instead of a pre-recorded background track, the participants sing with a LIVE backing band, and even back-up singers. LBK is way more fun than singing to a pre-recorded track.
We have over 150 songs on our list, including '70s, '80s, '90s and contemporary pop/rock/soul. The list will be posted on the 12 Grapes Facebook page each month, so check it out.

 Eddie Henderson (Trumpet), One of today's top and most original jazz trumpet players, Henderson first got worldwide recognition for his jazz-trumpet playing from the popular recordings he made with Herbie Hancock's Mwandishi group during the early '70s.
George Cables (Piano) Gigs around New York attracted attention to Cables' versatility by the end of the 1970s, Cables was garnering a reputation as everyone's favorite sideman.
Gary Bartz (Sax/Clarinet), was described by jazz critic Stanley Crouch as "one of the very best who has ever picked up the instrument". He has recorded more than 40 solo albums and over 200 as a guest artist.
Ed Howard (Bass), has been featured on three discs created by the Haynes group, and played in Clifford Jordan's own quartet from 1983 through 1992.
Billy Drummond (Drums), one of the busiest players of his generation, he can be heard on nearly 300 albums, including three critically acclaimed recordings as a band leader. |
