Their CD “Beautiful World,” is a joyous and eclectic mix of songs about our world. “When I Get Little” was named one of the top five CDs of the year by Kathy O’Connell of WXPN Radio in Philadelphia. And “Cranberry Sauce Flotilla” was the #One pick on the School Library Journal’s “12 Kids’ Albums You Can’t Live Without” list in 2007. National Public Radio chose Dean Jones’ solo CD “Napper’s Delight” as one of the best of 2007. How could you not have fun? Packed with audience participation, this show offers an un-unforgettable good time.

Arc Iris, Jocie Adams, Zach Tenorio-Miller , Mike Irwin, Robin Ryczek , Ray Belli, Max Johnson, Charlie RoseThe FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Arc Iris crystallizes the evolution of composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Jocie Adams, a former core member of renowned indie-folk band The Low Anthem. This is a breakaway moment for Adams, who now takes center stage as composer, lyricist, and lead vocalist.

Embracing her new role as auteur, Adams has created a genre-bending style that often shifts between cabaret-infused jazz, orchestral sophistication, grimy outlaw country, delicate and whimsical harmonies, and big-band exhilaration – sometimes all in the same song.

Adams’ vast aesthetic vision is matched only, and appropriately, by the band’s multifaceted musicianship, which includes Zach Tenorio-Miller on piano, Mike Irwin on trumpet, Robin Ryczek on cello, Ray Belli on drums, Max Johnson on bass, and Charlie Rose on steel banjo and trombone. In rehearsing, the group drew inspiration from a range of artists, in particular Dirty Projectors, Harry Nilsson, and Leonard Cohen.

The SUNDOWN Band has been performing their brand of Southern Rock since 1976. Many of the band's life-long fans now bring their teenage kids to experience the band's classic style; unique renditions of Southern Rock classics from bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker, Molly Hatchet & more. Marlboro, NY   See Map
Jeffery Broussard is one of the most influential accordionists and vocalists in modern Zydeco music and continues to be one of the genre’s most dynamic performers and innovators.

Jeffery Broussard was born in Lafayette, LA, Jeffery’s music career started very early, playing drums in his father’s band, the renowned Delton Broussard & The Lawtell Playboys. Although he left school for farm work to help his parents, Jeffery would sneak in to the house, get his daddy’s accordion and teach himself to play. It was in his brother Clinton’s band, Clinton Broussard & The Zydeco Machines that Jeffery played in public for the first time.

Whether he is playing a festival stage in front of thousands of dancers, a small theater of seated patrons, or teaching a lesson, his warmth, love of the music, and talent shine. Jeffery Broussard is well, the real deal. Dedicated to preserving and promoting the Creole culture and traditional Zydeco music, he carries on his Daddy's legacy.

Loretta Hagen delivers rich alto vocals, polished award winning lyrics and tightly woven harmonies; the hallmark of her musical career. A 2013 NJ JAM (Jersey Acoustic Music) Awards “Top Female Songwriter of the Year”, winner NJ Folk Festival Songwriter Competition, and 2012 CT Folk Festival Finalist. Loretta has shared the stage with Pete Seeger, Roger McGuinn, Steve Forbert, Richie Havens, Gretchen Wilson and Marshall Crenshaw to name a few and plays premiere stages across the Northeast. Loretta’s melodies leave folks feeling as if they are listening to their own stories set to song. Rick Nestler has been delighting audiences with sea shanties, songs about the river and life. He, too, has performed with Pete Seeger and others. This show will focus on an exciting Pete Seeger tribute that each will be participating in on August 14, 2014 in Sugar Loaf, NY.

Jesse Harris has released 12 albums, including many with his former backing band The Ferdinandos, one all-instrumental recording (Cosmo), and his latest, Borne Away, an intimate and haunting solo acoustic presentation with subtle overdubs played or sung by Harris.

It stands in stark contrast to his previous release, Sub Rosa, a large production, recorded and mixed mostly in Rio de Janeiro, with arrangements of strings and horns, and guest artists such as Conor Oberst (on whose Bright Eyes album, I’m Wide Awake It’s Morning, Jesse played guitar), Melody Gardot (with whom he has written several songs, for her albums My One And Only Thrill and The Absence), Bill Frisell (making his second appearance on a Harris recording), and Norah Jones.

Steve Swallow has long been many jazz critics' favorite electric bassist, as he approaches the electric bass as if it were a guitar. Swallow joined the Paul Bley trio in 1960 and the Jimmy Giuffre 3 during 1960-1962. He recorded with George Russell and was a member of Art Farmer's quartet (1962-1965), Stan Getz's band (1965-1967), and Gary Burton's quartet (1967-1970).

Ohad Talmor plays regularly with his own project; NEWSREEL – a flexible group featuring NY’s most creative musicians.Talmor has a privileged relationship with his old friend and mentor Lee Konitz, with whom he co-leads three projects, as well as several other projects.

Adam Nussbaum is considered a major asset and one of the finest jazz drummers of the 1990s. By 1978 Nussbaum was making a strong impression in the jazz world, playing regularly with both Dave Liebman and John Scofield (1978-83), and Stan Getz (1982-83), Gil Evans, the George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band, Gary Burton, along with countless others.

"She is one of those wonderful spirits; she's got her arms around you. You can feel that." - Levon Helm

"It's a rare thing to share the stage with great talent like that young lady." - B.B. King

The root of the Alexis P. Suter Band's sound is Suter's deep, powerful, commanding, and soulful voice, artfully blending the lines between gospel and blues. Suter is the daughter of a singer, Carrie Suter, backing vocalist with Harry Belafonte and Mahalia Jackson. Suter recalls listening to Ruth Brown on the radio and cites the late classic R&B singer as a primary influence.

The Alexis P. Suter Band has been blazing trails to clubs and festivals throughout North America. The band has made a tour of Italy and plans to do more European touring, where audiences are very receptive to blues. They have recorded two albums for Brooklyn-based record label, Hipbone Records.

Paramount Hudson Valley

Peekskill, NY   See Map
The second UK group following the Beatles to score a #1 hit in America, The Zombies infiltrated the airwaves with the sophisticated melodies, breathy vocals, choral back-up harmonies and jazzy keyboard riffs of their 1960’s hit singles like “She’s Not There” and “Tell Her No” . Ironically, the group broke-up in 1968 just prior to achieving their greatest success – the chart-topping single “Time of the Season” , from their swan-song album “Odessey & Oracle” (recently ranked #100 in Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” ). In the intervening years, while lead singer Colin Blunstone went on to develop an acclaimed solo career, and keyboardist/songwriter Rod Argent rocked ‘70’s arenas with his eponymous band ARGENT, the legend of The Zombies took on a life of its own. Generations of new bands have cited The Zombies’ work as pop touchstones, including such artists as Neko Case and Nick Cave (who have recorded “She’s Not There” for the popular HBO series True Blood).
