Marlboro, NY   See Map
Michael, 21 Avery, 17; and Nadia Cole, 14, started singing together in 2007 after their mother, Felicia, was in a head-on car collision with a drunk driver, which landed her in an eight month coma. They serenaded their mother for months. She eventually came out of the coma and started rehabilitation.

They began traveling to nursing homes and hospitals in an effort to help other patients. In 2009 the NBC's "America's Got Talent", allowed the group to beat out more than 100,000 hopefuls and make it to the top five. Voices of Glory wanted to show their family and fans how much they had inspired them. Parents across America rooted for this gifted trio to the finals. They got their wish.

These kids faced adversity with hope and a positive attitude. Voices Of Glory will be introducing the family and their newly published book "Higher Than Me" The Story Of Voices Of Glory.

The Chris O'Leary Band's music is rooted in the blues with shades of New Orleans, rockabilly and big, high-energy sound. Levon Helm can be heard in Chris's early sessions, and sitting in with regular gigs.

Soon, Levon asked Chris to join the house band at his new club in New Orleans. Chris’s band relocated and became the focal point of Levon Helm's Barn Burners, backing up touring stars and opening for New Orleans' finest players.

Chris continued to tour with the Barn Burners and in 2007, formed a new band, including fellow Barn Burner Frankie Ingrao on bass, guitarist Chris Vitarello (already known from his tasty, incendiary work with the Bruce Katz Band), and drummer Sean McCarthy.

O'Leary's band was a big hit at The Falcon’s first New Year's Eve Celebration, and continues to impress our music savvy crowd.

Dylan Doyle is creating a stir in the Hudson Valley music community. Born in the south to Yankee parents, he has been steeped in Robert Johnson, Townes Van Zandt, Lightin Hopkins, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Hendrix. Dylan's unique interpretation lies somewhere within the delta of rock, rockabilly, and the blues. He was chosen to be part of the line-up at the 2013 King Biscuit Blues festival and has been touring nationally since the age of 15.

His mentor, Rob Stoner, Bob Dylan's former band leader and bassist on Don McLean's "American Pie", says Dylan is the most prodigious guitarist he has taught in his almost 50 years of teaching music.

Featuring Sam Allen/drums and John Pazzulo/bass. "Dylan is the best young musician I've heard in a long time." - Chris O'Leary/The Chris O'Leary Band

Although Popa Chubby grew up in the 1970s, he took his cue from artists of the '60s, including Sly & the Family Stone, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton, among others. Chubby's first big break was winning a national blues talent search sponsored by KLON, in Long Beach, California. He won the New Artist of the Year award and opened at the Long Beach Blues Festival in 1992. Chubby played more than 200 club dates a year through the '90s.

Electric Chubbyland, a two-disc set of Chubby covering Jimi Hendrix songs, appeared from Dixie Frog in 2005. In 2008, Chubby released the country-punk-inflected Vicious Country on Dixie Frog, followed by a return to blues rock in 2010 with The Fight Is On. The year 2011 found him moving to the Provogue label for the album Back to New York City. Universal Universal Breakdown Blues followed in 2013 and featured Chubby's cover version of "Over the Rainbow" as its centerpiece.

Marlboro, NY   See Map
Jason Casterlin has given the music-loving world Old Stone Church, a hooked laden collection of 11 songs that runs the gamut from windows-down Americana rock to Sun Studios-era country.

Jason’s band, The Tall Boys, are a throwback to the heyday of Yoakam’s Babylonian Cowboys – a 5-piece outfit that can make you holler or make you weep from one track to the next. Guitars, pedal steel, keys, drums & bass complement Jason’s lyrics & voice the way a hand-picked band should.

With his solo career taking off fast, Jason has already shared the stage with the likes of James Otto, Jimmy Wayne, Easton Corbin, Billy Currington, Blackberry Smoke, Ryan Bingham, to name a few.

Old Stone Church is inspired by Jason’s life with his wife, their golden retriever, and their home overlooking the Shawangunk Ridge – a setting as suitable as any for a Yankee making country and roots music.

Jazz
Quinn's
330 Main St.
Beacon, NY   See Map
The Monday night jazz sessions at the new Beacon, NY music venue Quinn's had an exciting launch in 2013. The series presented dozens of extraordinary musicians who performed in the widest spectrum of styles possible for the music, ranging from the 1920's New Orleans jazz of King Oliver to freely-improvised vocal explorations sent through digital pitch-shifters and reverberation to create otherworldly textures — and everything in between. 2014 promises to be an even more exciting year for the series, which will continue in the new year on Monday, January 6, when thelegendary Poughkeepsie-based multi-instrumentalist and composer Joe McPhee performs with the equally celebrated bassist and long-time musical parter, bassist Dominic Duval, performing as their project, The Dream Book. As with every Monday jazz session @ Quinn's, sets will begin at 8 PM and there is no cover charge at the door but donations for the musicians will be requested and gratefully accepted.
