Over the past decade, the Brooklyn-based vocalist/writer/musician/producer has built a formidable body of recordings, won an international reputation as a riveting live performer, amassed an extensive file of rapturous critical raves, (3rd Coast Music in Austin, TX writes, “Kurtz is the kind of artist who teaches us ink- stained wretches to be miserly with superlatives, so we’ll still have a stock of them when she comes around.”) and earned an equally devoted audience around the world. She’s achieved these distinctions on her own terms, releasing five albums and a live DVD on her own Kismet label, touring around the world on her own dime, and building a remarkably loyal fan base.Along the way, Kurtz was named Female Songwriter of the Year by the National Academy of Songwriters, and Norah Jones and Bonnie Raitt have raved about her in interviews. If you grew up in the '60's & '70's -- or even if you didn't -- you are probably a fan of Simon & Garfunkel. We most certainly are. Jeb and Jock Guthrie, aka The Guthrie Brothers, have been playing and singing together since they were young kids. Performing in a number of garage bands and bar bands, they eventually came to cherish their "natural sibling vocal blend." "We knew the first time we played a Simon and Garfunkel song that we had a natural and almost spiritual connection to it. Our voices blended effortlessly into that S&G signature sound, and the overwhelming audience reaction to our performance confirmed our feelings. Since that first performance, we have worked to perfect our tribute to these two amazing artists." The Guthrie Brothers' authentic replication of the S&G songs we all know and love will blow you away. Don't miss this special performance! **$10 Entertainment Fee or $5 with dinner entree.* See their S&G Tribute on youtube

Saturday 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm | Opening Act! with Lost Leaders, Peter Cole, Byron Isaacs, Lee Falco | The FALCON 1348 Route 9W Marlboro, NY See Map |
If you took your copies of Deja Vu, Bookends, Full Moon Fever and Disraeli Gears and melted them into one L.P. it might sound like Lost Leaders, the alchemical brew of Peter Cole and Byron Isaacs.
The project was born at Levon Helm's studio in Woodstock, N.Y. in the winter of 2011. Peter and Byron took a week between Saturday Rambles and worked out original tunes with Grammy-winning house engineer Justin Guip running back and forth from drum kit to console. As the record neared completion they performed the material for the first time by opening a Midnight Ramble. While waiting to release the resulting record, Lost Leaders created a series of live performance videos covering some of their favorite material (including their own). Their two voices and two guitars contrast with the lushness of the studio recordings. Their arrangements of songs by Beck, Pete Pete Townsend, Neil Young and Tom Petty illustrate their haunting vocal blend and instrumental ingenuity.

| With a thumping thumb, dancing fingers, deep gritty soul stirring vocals, wailing harp and poetic blue-collar lyrics, Taylor oozes American roots. He draws comparisons to Tom Waites, Chris Smither, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and Ray Lamontagne, while his lyrics are colored by his own working class wandering roots. He's been an oysterman, carpenter, hitchhiker, homeowner, father, 'thru-hiker' (Appalachian Trail, Long Trail & John Muir Trail) and musician. He plays venues from New England to Nashville and his latest release “Home,” spins on folk radio worldwide. He is currently spearheading the SandyHookSongsForHope.org CD fundraiser project. "Shawn is a master balladeer & troubadour,” says Remo Ricaldone of American Roots Radio, Italy. “Taylor has mellowness to his voice that works well against the frenetic flash of finger-picking that is the foundation of his songs… It is Americana stripped of its outer skin.” – The Alternateroute.com | ||
