What do a couple of IBM-ers, an orthodontist, a former roadie for Prince, and a handsome young fellow with actual talent have in common? Not a thing. Somehow they started playing music together in Krumville NY.

Folk, rock, blues, a bit of country, and an occasional polka, this band defies strict definition. In fact, they prefer Webster's Dictionary version: "Band: a flat, thin strip or loop of material put around something, typically to hold it together or to decorate it."

Come! Listen! See if you agree.

Created by Kat Koppett in association with Freestyle Repertory Theatre in New York, Spontaneous Broadway is a virtouso evening of musical improv.

The format received a rave review from The New York Times when it premiered in New York in 1995. You ain’t seen nuttin’ like it, folks!

Peekskill, NY   See Map
For anyone who loves joyful, unpretentious, but highly creative and spontaneous jazz, Todd Londagin’s new album Look Out For Love will be a delightful discovery. In the company of four longstanding musical cohorts, Todd has assembled a repertoire of 10 songs, culled from the Great American Songbook and popular songs. Bassist Jennifer Vincent and drummer David Berger have been playing with Todd since the early 1990s (all three were original members of the successful ‘90s band, The Flying Neutrinos); while pianist Matt Ray and guitarist Pete Smith have been performing with Todd since 2000. Together, they artfully and lovingly developed each piece like an assortment of delicious dishes combined together for a cohesive feast. As Todd explains, "each tune is an exercise in doing things in a different way." Unabashed swing is definitely a consistent mood throughout the CD.

Entertainment Weekly praised "…The most infectious original songs. It’s like tapping into some pleasure center in the brain- both adult and kid…absurdly appealing. Grade: A." New York Magazine named Morgan Taylor "Best Kids’ Performer" in a recent "Best of New York" issue.

"Mint Green Bee" from Gustafer Yellowgold’s Wide Wild World was a Grand Prize Winner in the Children’s Category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Born an American in the bustling city of Tokyo, and raised in the quiet suburbs of New York City, singer/songwriter Paul Tryon has been compiling the sounds and stories of his world into piano-driven songs for a decade’s time. His debut record, "Give and Take," leads the listener on a lively journey through the heart of the Big Apple.

Paul wrote the songs on "Give and Take" while living in the shadow of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. The roaring semis and screaming sirens could be heard on many of the initial demo recordings, which were recorded in that very apartment. On the eve of Hurricane Sandy, when much of lower Manhattan was evacuating, Paul, Tony Tino (bass) and Tom Seguso (drums) gathered in The Magic Shop studio and recorded the first official tracks on the album.
