 Cyrille Aimée was born in Fontainebleau, France, to a French father and Dominican mother.
Every June, her village, Samois-sur-Seine, welcomes gypsies from all over Europe to set up caravans in nearby meadows for the Django Reinhardt Festival, in honor of the legendary guitarist who also once lived in Samois-sur-Seine. As a child, Cyrille fell in love with gypsy music and way of life. She spent evenings at their camps, learned their language and began to sing by the fire with Django's descendants. Adept at guitar, it was Cyrille's voice that struck her professor, who invited her to sing at the Django Festival in 2000.
Cyrille's major label debut will occur in 2013 with the album, "It's a Good Day." Produced by Fabrice DuPont (Shakira) at Flux Studios, it's a journey of jazz/pop infused with a gypsy spirit. |

 Painted Betty buoyantly blends elements of county, jazz, blues, and tango into a unique sound. A six-piece acoustic band, Betty features two female lead singers: Deb Madsen's alto twang and tough-tender songwriting lends country grit. Sonia Ryzy-Ryski's lush soprano flows from jazz to Spanish ballads, and her ironic songwriting brings humor. Tim Hall, guitarist and elegiac songwriter, works as a NASA scientist by day, and his brother Andrew Hall, upright bass, is a seasoned musician who has worked with the likes of Sparklehorse and the Crash Test Dummies. Jazz clarinetist David Rothenberg is internationally known for his playing with, and writing about, the natural world, and has recorded with such luminaries as Peter Gabriel. Drummer Eric Starr leads a multifaceted life as a composer, a jazz performer, and music educator. Painted Betty's debut album, "Fifty Bucks and I'll Show You," (2011) is available on iTunes.

On Saturday, September 28 from noon until six, rain or shine, BMW of the Hudson Valley will present “Beacon ROCKTOBERFEST,” a day of outdoor music wrapping up The Rutigliano Group’s free public programming for the City of Beacon’s Centennial year, marking one hundred years since the villages of Mattawan and Fishkill Landing joined to become the city. The event will be held in the parking lot of the DMV building on 223 Main Street, and will feature a broad range of local professional music artists in folk, jazz, rock and metal, with a beer tent area for patrons to celebrate the season while enjoying the variety of musical offerings.

The subject of an acclaimed “60 Minutes” profile in 2011 (which garnered two daytime Emmy awards), the choir is comprised of talented young performers who received their training through Gospel for Teens, a program of Ms. Higginsen’s Mama Foundation and her School of Gospel, Jazz and R&B Arts. The Gospel for Teens Choir took the grand prize in the open division at the 2011 Pathmark Gospel Choir Competition of Harlem.  Alva Nelson, a multi-faceted musician, has performed & recorded with Lightnin' Hopkins, Kirk Whalum, and Regina Belle. He has been musical director for "Ain't Misbehavin'", "Violet", and "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill" and produced Dorothy Leigh's "A Second Chance", for which he wrote three songs. "Soul Eyes" is Alva Nelson's latest jazz piano release.
Nelson has received three "Meet the Composer" Grants; won 1st Place in the Composers' Guild Composition Contest with "Synonymous Dichotomy" ('83), "Buster's Bounce" ('85) and "Tranquil Jubilation ('88); and was selected as a semifinalist in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition.
Throughout the 1990's, Nelson performed, arranged, and orchestrated music for the Boys Choir of Harlem, including engagements at Carnegie Hall & Alice Tully Hall with Wynton Marsalis and Kathleen Battle; Hubert Laws and the St. Luke's Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic with Zubin Mehta.

 For this edition of our "Jazz At The Falls" Sunday brunch series, we'll be featuring special guests "The Steve Raleigh Quartet".
Guitarist & composer Steve Raleigh's playing has been described as "reminiscent of George Benson & Wes Montgomery". He's worked with many great musicians including Judi Silvano, October Project, Evelyn Blakey, Nick Brignola, Darmond Meader (New York Voices), Clint Holmes & Tony Martin, as well as opening for Chuck Mangione. Steve's performed at West Point's Eisenhower Hall, the Storm King Art Center Jazz Festival & many of New York's legendary clubs such as The Rainbow Room, The Glen Island Casino & The Joyous Lake.
Rounding out "The Steve Raleigh Quartet" will be Chris Pasin on trumpet, John Menegon on bass & Jeff Siegel on drums.
We'll be offering breakfast & lunch menus, as well as service from the café’s full bar. There’s no cover charge, but we do pass the hat for donations.

| My primary instrument is my voice, and my guitar embellishes, accompanies, and decorates it. My sound and style are my own. Exposure to music and vocal styles of all types, ranging from standards to jazz to folk/traditional to blues, and to the music of Great Britain, the Appalachian Mountains of Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina, have influenced my sound and led me to describe my music as "eclectic acoustic." I have opened for Christine Lavin and Dave Cousins and performed in Showcases and the Open Mic Finals at the Towne Crier Cafe in Pawling, NY, and appeared in venues in the Hudson Valley and Southwestern CT. I perform a good mix of songs, including my own compositions, covers, and traditional music. I like to tell the stories of the traditional songs I sing and might focus on the song's provenance, themes, imagery, history, depiction of characters, etc. |

Billy and Jean-Michel share a deep affinity for beauty and for deep and meaningful statements, and their styles, both subtle and powerful in the same time, blend miraculously.
Joining them will be the amazing Boris Kozlov, centerpiece of Mingus Dinasty and Mingus Big Band since a few years now, a unique musician adding the final touch to this trio, which has toured internationally in recent years to the delight of many audiences.

 Keberle’s (trombone) diverse talents have earned him a place alongside a staggering array of legends, superstars, and up-and-coming innovators. That includes playing with jazz greats including Maria Schneider and Wynton Marsalis; hip-hop and R&B superstars like Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Alicia Keys; Latin jazz leaders like Pedro Giraudo and Ivan Lins; indie rock ground-breakers such as Sufjan Stevens; or playing in the house band at Saturday Night Live, on the soundtrack of a Woody Allen film, or in the pit for a Tony-winning Broadway musical.

 The 1st Thursday of each month, join saxman and vocalist JP Patrick and his band as they rehearse, work, and play for each other, and for you. The band explores the musical territory of Blues, R&B, Funk and Jazz. Every installment of "Sessions" is unique, as JP often invites different musicians to sit in and perform.
JP has been on the Blues music scene for years, and is a tremendously talented front-man, vocalist and songwriter. He plays Blues harp and alto sax, and always performs with passion and energy. His audiences feel it... and love it. His original songs are full of wit and charm. Songs like "Simple Request (Stop Breaking My Balls)" and "Shy of Indigo" showcase his talents as a funky Blues musician who's taking his art to the next level.
