Paul Shaffer,recalls:“Tisziji’s music is of a unique, other-worldly nature… Thus began a musical and spiritual friendship which continues to this day. I have [since] played with all the great guitar players, from Eric Clapton to Van Halen to Santana to Jeff Beck, and nobody plays guitar the way Tisziji Munoz does.
John Medeski, of the genre-defying trio Medeski Martin & Wood, has garnered fans across the musical spectrum. Built upon jazz roots, electronics and rhythmic grooves, MMW have broken out of the traditional jazz sphere and have shared the bill with groups such as The Roots, Beck, A Tribe Called Quest, Ray Charles, Hermento Pascoal, and Phish, frequently appearing in venues unavailable to most jazz artists. Medeski’s recording credits include John Zorn, Iggy Pop, T Bone Burnett, Ray Lamontagne, Dan The Automator and k.d. Lang.
Chris Walsh provides his own pre-recorded back-up vocals and rhythm section. His selections range from The Beatles, James Taylor, and BTO to the early classics of Buddy Holly and The Everly Brothers. He also manages to sneak in of few of your favorite rock and roll oldies from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s as well as country and folk originals
Painted Betty, formed in 2009 in the Hudson Valley, buoyantly blends elements of county, jazz, blues, and tango into a unique sound. A six-piece acoustic band, Betty features two female lead singers: Deb Madsen's alto twang and tough-tender songwriting lends country grit. Sonia Ryzy-Ryski's lush soprano flows from jazz to Spanish ballads, and her ironic songwriting brings humor. Tim Hall, guitarist and elegiac songwriter, works as a NASA scientist by day, and his brother Andrew Hall, upright bass, is a seasoned musician who has worked with the likes of Sparklehorse and the Crash Test Dummies. Jazz clarinetist David Rothenberg is internationally known for his playing with, and writing about, the natural world, and has recorded with such luminaries as Peter Gabriel. Drummer Eric Starr leads a multifaceted life as a composer, a jazz performer, and music educator. Painted Betty's debut album, "Fifty Bucks and I'll Show You," (2011) is available on iTunes. 
We're back at one of our favorite venues. The Chain Gang will perform a mix of classic rock and pop (60's through 80s) at this very popular establishment. Accordionist, singer and songwriter Mary Roszela Bellard, "Rosie" Ledet (pronounced led-dett), was raised on rock & roll music. During her teenage years in southwest Louisiana, she listened to classic rock & roll radio stations in nearby Eunice; her favorite groups included Santana and Z.Z. Top.

The Bard educated Mr. Bermiss, works as a jazz pianist, an extraordinary soul singer, teacher and composer whose pieces have been played by the Colorado String Quartet and the American Symphony Orchestra. He continues to experiment in musical form and function.”, Myles Mancuso is a gifted performer / multi-instrumentalist Mancuso has performed live on some of New York’s top stages, BB King’s, The Cutting Room, The Iridium Jazz Club, Madison Square Garden and others. He was a regular summer entertainer at NYC’s South Street Seaport. Possibly the Hudson Valley's youngest, most sought-after sideman - drummer, Lee Falco has been sitting in with some of the finest artists in the music industry. , Lee has already performed at The Living Room NYC with guitarist Annie McCue, Bearsville Theater with Pink Floyd interpreter, ReThinkPink and is a regular member of the bands Goodnight Brother and The Connor Kennedy Band. Lee, like Levon Helm, is a singing drummer, rare in the music scene.

Mikhail Horowitz & Gilles Malkine will be spewing literary spoofs, linguistic triple flips, jazz fables, folk song parodies and political satire at the Woodstock Library on February 16th at 7pm. The Princes of Serendip will be on hand to perform their unique blend of whimsy, emotion, incisive lyrics and sweet harmonies. They will be joined by special guest, Jude Roberts. Admission is free.
Native Soul is comprised of 4 uniquely gifted instrumentalist/composers: Bass virtuoso Marcus McLaurine, a driving force in Clark Terry's quintet and big band, has shared the stage with Lou Donaldson, Hank Jones, Abbey Lincoln, the Count Basie Orchestra, and Kenny Burrell; pianist Noah Haidu, a arising star on the NY jazz scene, has recorded with Jeremy Pelt, Mike Stern, Duane Eubanks, Jon Irabagon, and Winard Harper; saxophonist Peter Brainin, prolific in the Afro-Cuban jazz world, has performed with Mongo Santamaria, Hilton Ruiz, Joey Calderazzo, and Chico O'Farrill; and the dynamic, hard swinging drummer Steve Johns has worked with Sonny Fortune, Randy Brecker, Stanley Turrentine, Jimmy Heath, and Dr. Billy Taylor.

Craig Bickhardt has written songs for many famous entertainers such as Johnny Cash, Kathy Mattea, and Tony Rice. He is a master at his craft. He is also a fabulous entertainer as well as a virtuoso on the Guitar. He was the originator of the format "songwriters in the round" used by many folk clubs today. Craig is a native of Philadelphia who lived in Nashville for many years and then returned to his home area where he now lives. Dreams, heartaches and hard-earned lessons have fed his creativity. Opening the show will be the lovely Marybeth D'Amico from Jersey City, NJ who spent many years performing in Germany. You will love her original songs and the energy with which she performs them. As usual admission is $20 per person ($15 for Borderline & Pinewoods members) plus we ask you to bring a cold potluck dessert dish to share with 4 other people. From their web site, Joe Fiero writes: "Housed in a masterfully renovated red brick firehouse, American Glory Restaurant boasts a rich history of dedicated firefighters. Formerly the H. Rogers Hose Company it was home to the second oldest volunteer fire department in New York State; organized in 1794. The firehouse has been meticulously restored to highlight the original brick walls, wood floors and historic grand wooden staircase."

Singer/Songwriter and Jazz vocalist Rebecca Martin’s new album TWAIN (on the Sunnyside Record Label to be released March 26th, 2013) features a dozen new original compositions and one classic interpretation, all performed in understated acoustic arrangements based around Martin’s indelible voice and supple guitar work, and the subtly inventive support of her husband and longtime collaborator, acclaimed bassist Larry Grenadier. His and pianist Brad Mehldau’s trio, including Larry and Jorge Rossy, became one of the major groups of its time. Larry played, as well, with John Scofield’s band and toured a few years with the Pat Metheny Trio. He continues to collaborate with his trio FLY, featuring drummer Jeff Ballard and tenor saxophonist Mark Turner, recording two critically acclaimed albums. 
McCarthy got her start in blues music in 1996, when math professor Ben Lotto, Vassar’s Dean of Freshmen, invited her to a local blues jam. There another math professor, Peter Pappas, was playing guitar. In a word, McCarthy—a singer—was hooked. She started at the bottom of the blues totem pole and worked her way up the ranks of the Hudson Valley blues scene. McCarthy had thought of starting her own band, the Hudson Valley Blues Collective, but when the Chris O’Leary Band launched in 2008 and members invited her to join the then-six-member band (McCarthy makes seven), she jumped at the chance. Lately, McCarthy and the Chris O’Leary Band have been busy—as usual—playing regular gigs throughout the mid-Hudson Valley. The band is also preparing for a European tour.
with the Bluescasters has been impressing Blues Enthusiasts in Dutchess County for years!! They've opened for Big Headliners like The Fabulous Thunderbirds, SouthSide Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and even Chuck Berry...and have played venues in and around Poughkeepsie, New York City, New Jersey and the Albany-area for over 20 years. Big Joe Fitz of WDST (100.1), host of the "Blues Break" (10pm to Midnight Sunday nights) has been praising the accomplishments of this band for many years! The band is a Smokin' Poughkeepsie-based blues trio whose driving rhythm , soulful guitar and vocals really gets crowds on their feet!!!
