Internationally acclaimed vocalist, world-class double bassist and singer/songwriter, Nicki Parrott is the recipient of a grant from the Australia Council for the Arts allowing her travel to the US and study with her mentor, one of the world’s premiere double bassists, Rufus Reid. Niki performs regularly in international jazz festivals and each Monday at the Iridium Jazz Club NYC. For more than six decades, the legendary Bucky Pizzarelli has had a stellar career. “The complete jazz musician”, he was a fixture in jazz and the studios since the early ‘50s. The list of big bands and vocalists with whom Bucky has performed and recorded reads like a veritable Who’s Who of Jazz..Award-winning jazz pianist Rossano Sportiello has performed with the world’s finest jazz luminaries.. In recent years Rossano has been in great demand in the United States appearing at New York venues such as the 92nd Street Y, Town Hall, the United Nations and Shanghai Jazz in New Jersey, as well as festivals.

Todd Londagin, the trombone playing, tap dancing co-founder of New York City's highly acclaimed Flying Neutrinos is making his mark internationally as the leader of the Todd Londagin Band. Accompanied by the finest jazz musicians NY has to offer, Todd's smooth vocals, lyrical horn playing, and fresh looks are often likened to cool jazz legend Chet Baker.

Todd is a versatile entertainer with a sincere love of music and performance that is evident from the moment he steps on stage. Singing, playing, and touring internationally since the age of seven, and his upbringing in a musical family, has made him a consumate performer.

A pop vocalist with a jazz sensibility, Todd has a deep understanding of the essence of popular American songwriting from the 1930's through the 1950's. His unique interpretation of swinging standards and winsome ballads mixed with new material and some choice holiday selections will make this performance a true musical asset.

MOPCO brings its unique brand of improv to Proctors -- Friday nights at 8:00pm.

Created by Kat Koppett in association with Freestyle Repertory Theatre in New York, Spontaneous Broadway is a virtouso evening of musical improv.

The audience submits titles of "songs that have never been written". In a fictional "backer's audition", these titles inspire improvised songs in act one. In act two, the audience's favorite song serves as the basis of an entire (45 minute) Broadway musical, complete with costumes and set.

The format received a rave review from The New York Times when it premiered in New York in 1995. You ain’t seen nuttin’ like it, folks!

Saxophonist / flutist Premik Russell Tubbs is a composer, arranger, producer and an internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist. He has worked with such greats as Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin and Ravi Shankar to name a few.

Since 2008 Premik has been part of the house band for Sting's Rainforest Foundation Fund benefit concerts at Carnegie Hall, where he has backed up such diverse artists as Sting, Elton John, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, James Taylor, Rosanne Cash, and others. In February 2012, Premik performed at Carnegie Hall as a guest soloist in the world premiere of composer Karl Jenkins' latest work 'The Peacemakers in which he played bansuri, tin whistle, and celtic flute. With jazz pianist Uli Geissendoerfer, Premik heads Bangalore Breakdown, an exciting, world music ensemble. They released their first CD, “Diary”, in 2008 and will soon be releasing a new collaborative CD entitled "Passport to Happyness".

Esopus Chamber Orchestra celebrates the season with a holiday concert at SUNY Ulster, Quimby Theater on December 22nd 8PM. Juilliard trained conductor, Nadège Foofat, will lead Vivaldi's Four Seasons in the Baroque tradition, from the violin.

The concert program includes Respighi’s Trittico Botticelliano, a magnificent and colorful work that musically depicts the famous triptych of paintings now in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy; Wagner’s Siefried Idyll, music that Wagner wrote as a Christmas gift for his wife to celebrate the birth of their son, and the exciting and virtuosic Baroque masterpiece, The Four Seasons, four separate violin concertos that Vivaldi wrote as a collection of pieces depicting Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

Tickets are on sale December 1. Ticket prices are $30/$25 for adults, $15 for students with ID and $10 at 7:30 for student rush tickets. Public school music programs are encouraged to contact the orchestra for free student vouchers.

But, among all his accomplishments, Drew is first and foremost a songwriter. He has composed dozens of songs and performed at an impressive list of venues, including Boston's the Middle East and Sanders Theater, and NYC's the Bitter End, Ace of Clubs and CBGB (and let's not forget 12 Grapes!)

Tonight, Drew is joined by his "lil' sis" Selena, who is also a talented guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. Selena is currently a student at SUNY New Paltz. Both Selena and Drew will be performing many of their original tunes tonight, as well as some choice covers.

Murali jaoined Duke Robillard’s touring band and was signed as a solo artist resulting in the Stax/Volt-influenced “Eyes Wide Open”. Rolling Stone magazine named Murali “One promising new hound”. Murali has toured with father Larry Coryell and Joe Louis Walker as a featured artist and as a supporting act for B.B. King. Murali’s CD "Sugar Lips" reached # 5 on the Living Blues Radio Chart - recorded in Nashville with Tom Hambridge producer of Buddy Guy’s latest Grammy winner and featured guests Joe Louis Walker and Larry Coryell. Billboard called it “one sweet triptych across the musical map”. Rave reviews appeared in Living Blues and Elmore Magazines resulting in a Guitar Player Magazine feature. After you've enjoyed our 4-course Wine Tasting dinner, stay to enjoy an entertaining evening of music and song with Dave Keyes, a talented vocalist and amazing keyboard player, accompanied by a sax player.

Dave was conductor for the Broadway hit "Smokey Joe's Cafe" for more than 6 years and is a featured performer on their Grammy-winning soundtrack album. Dave has been on the Blues scene for over 20 years, performing with some of the most important figures in Blues, Roots & Folk music: Popa Chubby, Larry Campbell (Levon Helm, Bob Dylan), Gladys Knight and the late, great Lou Rawls. Dave won the Blues Foundation's International Blues Competition and appears at Blues Festivals throughout the world.
