Jazz, Latin
The Falcon

Marlboro, NY   See Map
Scott Feiner’s musical story is not a common one. Not only is he an American pandeiro player, but he also introduced this Brazilian hand drum to the world of jazz in a highly personal way. In 1999, during his first trip to Brazil, Feiner discovered the pandeiro, the instrument which would become his passion and new means of musical expression. He moved to Rio de Janeiro in 2001 and after only a few years became a respected pandeirista, playing in the traditional settings of Rio. However, it is Feiner’s innovative mixture of the pandeiro with jazz which has set him apart. His first CD with his Pandeiro Jazz project, "Pandeiro Jazz" (2006, Delira Música) received international praise and his second CD, "Dois Mundos" (2008, Biscoito Fino), was nominated for a 2009 Latin Grammy Award.

Peekskill, NY   See Map
Addie Brownlee's voice has been compared to Dusty Springfield. It's Americana, Alt/Country, Singer/Songwriter. "If Brownlee’s voice is of the dust, the earth, then her lyrics are a hard rain. Eroding the surface of things, exposing feelings that aren’t easily expressed or classified, but so familiar..." Addie notes Dolly Parton as her biggest influence, and recently did a tribute at NYC's The Living Room. Addie was joined onstage by Martha Wainwright. Her song, "Sea Legs" off her new EP, "East of Leaving" also features a cameo by Ms Wainwright.

Michelle DeAngelis is a accomplished pianist, singer and songwriter. She's performed at many prestigious NYC clubs as well as in Europe. Her song, "With The Angels" written for 9/11, was featured on two documentary DVD's. She was honored with a plaque and a letter of gratitude from the NYC Fire Commissioner.

Join us for an entertaining evening with two incredibly talented songwriters!

Live performance and interview with burgeoning alt-folk act Vandaveer. From http://www.vandaveer.net/, "VANDAVEER is the song-singing, record-making, globetrotting project penned and put forth by alt-folk tunesmith Mark Charles Heidinger. Born in Ohio, raised in Kentucky, and currently camped out in the nation’s capital, Vandaveer offers up melodic Americana that is both haunting and easy, forlorn and welcoming, with stories as universal as the songs they inhabit. Vandaveer shapeshifts from studio to stage and back with a revolving cast of characters, most prominent among them Rose Guerin, offering up the loveliest harmonies heard this side of Eden."
