He can channel Albert King, Eddie Hazel, and Ace Frehley and be comfortable with all three."

Dave Fields is an Electrifying Rocker with a Blues Soul. He is a "genre-busting" guitarist and virtuoso whose performances are always awe inspiring and intensely passionate. with Iris Ornig (bass), Adam Larson (sax), Yotam Silberstein (guitar), Ronen Itzik (drums)
Jazz
BeanRunner Cafe
201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Bassist/composer Iris Ornig is one of the most original female voices on today's New York jazz scene. Since her arrival in New York in 2003 from Germany, she has played with an impressive roster of some of the most influential contemporary jazz musicians in New York. Ornig's approach to jazz is straightforward, combining inventive wistful melodies. Her music is powdery soft and loaded with fresh energy and cat-like exuberance. Ornig has a spiritual sensibility and her pulse-like bass drives home shrewd originals and cagey hypnotic harmonies.

Applauded for its fresh, of the moment compositions, "No Restrictions" opens with 'Autumn Kiss', which evokes the color and breath of autumn; the album title 'No Restrictions'' explores Brazilian music mixed with the more straightforward American-European jazz traditions; and the last song on the album is 'Uptight,' composed with bluesy jazz notes to describe the tempo of desire.

Always looking to cultivate a connection with her audience, she strives to create an experience that grabs listeners both emotionally, and "by the balls". When the venue calls for it, they expand to include drums and/or keys. For this special occasion we have brought in Linda McRae, a phenomenal singer/songwriter all the way from British Columbia in western Canada. Linda is also a multi instrumentalist and has numerous musical talents. Her lyrics are honest, penetrating, witty, and can also be funny at times. They are played in a unique style that can be described as folky with a tinge of bluegrass. Recently she has followed in the steps of the late, great, Johnny Cash and played a gig at California's famous Folsom Prison. She will have a lot of interesting stories to tell about that performance. Opening the show will be singer/songwriter Pat Lamanna from Poughkeepsie, NY. Pat has been a regular performer throughout the Hudson Valley for many years and is a member of the Beacon Sloop Club. She writes songs about everyday life and modern day social issues. You will enjoy her immensely. Bring a cold pot luck dessert dish to share with 4 people. solz1@optonline.net or (845)-354-4586

Il Volo: In May 2009, these three fresh-faced teenagers, Piero Barone (17), Ignazio Boschetto (16), and Gianluca Ginoble (16), appeared on the popular Italian talent show "Ti Lascio Una Canzone" and dazzled television viewers with their flawless rendition of the Neapolitan standard "O Sole Mio." The boys, who won the competition easily, decided their group needed a name. "Il Volo," meaning "flight," was chosen to signify the feeling that these three young tenors were about to spread their wings and fly.
