Jeff Entin and Bob Blum met in a mental hospital in 1972, where they were both aides. Discovering that playing music together was much more fun and rewarding, they have been at it ever since. When the venue calls for it, they expand to include drums and/or keys. The Saugerties Performing Arts Factory continues it’s weekly Jazz Workshop @ The Factory every Thursday at 7:00pm. Come one, come all for our weekly jazz party and workshop! The series features the master musicians living in the Hudson Valley – of which we have no shortage. Word has been spreading, and musicians have been dropping by to sit in, so there are always surprise guests. Students are also welcome to come and sit in with the masters as well. NO COVER CHARGE! Coming up on Thursday, October 18 is a trio led by our favorite pianist and keyboardist, John Esposito. He’s bringing with him the renowned bassist , Frank Luther, a virtuoso bass player who played with many jazz greats, including Gerry Mulligan and Chet Baker, in NYC in the ‘60’s & ‘70’s, and Jeff “Siege” Siegel, known for his work with pianist, Lee Shaw. The boys, who won the competition easily, decided their group needed a name.
