Red Hook, NY   See Map
Kat Webb here! I'm a classically trained vocalist hailing from Austin, TX, and now residing in the famous and infamous NYC! So what does that mean for you? Well, it means if you have a song that need a female vocalist, either lead or background, for live events or studio sessions, I'm available! Now, don't think that I'm simply a mercenary musician, selling my goods and services to the highest bidder. I'm also currently working my own studio album of jazz classics and standards, so stay tuned. In the meantime, check out the MySpace player for samples of my studio work, background singing, and even some of my songwriting. I've performed at clubs all over NYC including: The Sidewalk Cafe, Club Drom, The Shrine, The Village Underground, Ashford Simpson's Sugar Bar, R Bar, Chelsea Market, Coney Island Piers and many more! So hit me up! Whatever the reason, I'm sure we can make some beautiful music together!

She studied Scottish music with the legendary Jean Redpath. Diane has been a past member of the Mountain Laurel Bluegrass band and the Peach Mountain Boys. Frank Tetler has been a member of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild since 1979. He is a self-taught fiddle, mandolin and banjo player, and a member of Ramapo Fault String Band. He brings us the songs of our youth, some we've never heard before, and a sprinkling of evocative instrumentals. The emphasis is on nostalgia and fun, with audience participation encouraged.

Dobbs Ferry, NY   See Map
Get ready for a musical voyage starting in ancient Spain and winding through Sarajevo, Smyrna, Salonica and Jerusalem as this award winning quintet breathes new life into centuries-old Sephardi romanzas and canticas. Colorful tales of sailors seduced by sirens at sea, murder, intrigue, fantastic dreams and the treachery of kings and queens abound in arrangements that go from gritty and spare to sweepingly cinematographic, and through a presentation that is at once captivating and down-to-earth in its humour and charm.

What happens when a music that is the product of hundreds of years of migrations continues to travel, landing in such unlikely places as Appalachia or the streets of Salvador in Northeastern Brazil? Drawing on the dynamic world music expertise of each of its players, the charismatic quintet explores a re-imagined world of Ladino music, making an ancient music fresh for modern audiences.

Romance and Passion: LA & the Hit Squad
with Lawrence Anthony
Motown/R&B, Blues, and Gospel
BeanRunner Cafe
201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Combine Barry White, Teddy Pendergrass and James Brown, and you get LA's signature style - "old school romance" and fiery funk! His unique registry, being a bass/baritone singer, brings passion and fire to the romantic songs that are an important part of his musical experience.

The fervor and spiritual connections felt by his audiences is matched only by his ability to become "one" with his soulful, heart pounding funk. A celebratory aura is seen in his outlook on life and is evident in his performances.

LA has performed with the legendary Intruders as well as on many "Motown Review" assignments. He is currently the bass/ baritone singer and co-founder of "Tradition", a wonderful "classic soul" cover singing group.

LA has been a radio personality on his own "Quite Storm" show on 91.1 WOSS in New York and has been seen in commercials, and on documentaries for public and commercial television.

Deadheads rejoice!

Welcome to 12 Grapes' debut of "Not Dead Yet", a band that reproduces the sound of the "pioneering Godfathers" of the jam band world. Not Dead Yet's ability to be true to the Grateful Dead live concert experience, while appealing to fans unfamilair with The Dead's music, is what sets them apart from other bands. Taking the Grateful Dead's improvisational approach to music, Not Dead Yet has a different set list for each gig, but expect to hear classics like St. Stephen, The Music Never Stopped, Truckin', Turn On Your Lovelight, Ripple, Box of Rain ... you know the drill.

The band features Michael Koren (guitar/vocals), Jeff Timberg (lead guitar/vocals), Mike Pascullo (drums), Ric LuBell (bass/vocals) and Frank Lorio (keyboards/vocals).

Peekskill, NY   See Map
JAMES DURST welcomes a stageful of artists to pay tribute to BOB GIBSON, one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the golden age of folk music, the '50s and '60s. Bob met Pete Seeger in 1953 and it's said that he bought a banjo the very next day. He inspired countless other folk artists like Peter, Paul & Mary, Simon & Garfunkel, the Limeliters, Roger McGuinn & the Byrds, Gordon Lightfoot, many more.

Bob introduced Joan Baez to the world at the 1959 Newport Folk Festival, then Judy Collins in 1960. In '61 he was joined by Bob Camp (later Hamid Hamilton Camp) for the seminal live album, Gibson & Camp at the Gate of Horn. Hearing his 1964 solo album, Where I'm Bound, and meeting him in '65, was a life-changing experience for your host, Westchester-based songsmith. Bob would have been 80 on November 16th. This will be a very special evening not to be missed.

with The Paashaus Brothers, High Falls Community Church Choir
Christian, Folk/Traditional
High Falls Community Church
Mohonk Road
High Falls, NY   See Map
In spite of recessions and hurricanes, 9-11 anniversaries and foreclosures, we’ve made it through another year and come to yet another Thanksgiving. Family and friends are secure. Our area is getting back on its feet after Irene. High Falls Community Church and our wonderful community are still enjoying the blessings of God. Now it’s time to give thanks! This Friday night gathering includes a celebration in song, hymns of praise, and gospel music to honor God and bring joy to His people who gather this weekend before Thanksgiving.

The High Falls Community Church Choir will be joined with other voices from the area as well as with the great harmonies of “The Paashaus Brothers” for a night of song. Choose your favorite hymn or gospel song and we’ll try to include it! Spend this cold November night in the warmth of old fashioned fellowship and singing.

No fees...no offerings...just come and enjoy! If more information is needed, please contact Dan @ 687-4428.

Jessie brings her background in drama as a classically trained actress to bear on her latest record Nocturnal Drifter (2009) merging her new found gift for songwriting into a sound and musical persona that easily arrests. Helping Jessie keep the flow is the gold record award winning production team Super Buddha (Blondie, Rufus Wainright) and her band The Steves featuring John Kengla on bass, Rich Hinman on guitar, Rob Heath on drums, and Dan Siegler on keyboards—a group of crack musicians that brings Jessie's songs to life. "Jessie Kilguss is in the midst of a ferocious creative development," continues Super Buddha's Nieland. "I see a great artist coming quite quickly into her own." Nieland's producer partner Morrison sums Jessie up succinctly, saying "[She] sounds like all the coolest music in your collection wrapped into one thing." Jessie currently resides in Brooklyn, NY with her dog Mr. Walter Peanuts.

Created by Kat Koppett in association with Freestyle Repertory Theatre in New York, Spontaneous Broadway is a virtouso evening of musical improv.

The audience submits titles of "songs that have never been written". In a fictional "backer's audition", these titles inspire improvised songs in act one. In act two, the audience's favorite song serves as the basis of an entire (45 minute) Broadway musical, complete with costumes and set.

The format received a rave review from The New York Times when it premiered in New York in 1995. You ain’t seen nuttin’ like it, folks!
