 Catie Curtis has been a fan favorite on the acoustic music scene for a number of years now. Her well-deserved reputation as one of our very best singer/songwriters has followed her through nine critically-acclaimed recordings. With her tenth and newest project, Hello Stranger, released in August 2009, she gifts her loyal fan base and entices new listeners with a recording that captures some of the magic of her live performances. With the help of her Nashville-based record label, Compass Records, she selected a few of Nashville’s best musicians to make an album featuring fiddle, mandolin and banjo as well as acoustic guitar. Opening the evening will be Susan Kane, a singer songwriter based in northern Westchester, NY. Her original songs are inspired by contemporary and historical figures, natural elements and that richest of resources, language itself. Her music derives from country, folk, blues and rock roots.

 Orlando Marin, a contemporary of such greats as Tito Puente, Machito, and Tito Rodriguez, is the only orchestra leader from New York’s golden era of mambo who still performs regularly.
Orlando formed his first band, Eddie Palmieri and his Orchestra and, since then, has played with several different bands and has performed in the famous Palladium Ballroom. In 1997, Latin music historiographer Max Salazar presented Orlando a plaque in recognition of nearly five decades of uninterrupted contribution to Latin music. In January 2003, Orlando was invited by Latin Jazz station, WPFW, by the Arlington County (Virginia) Cultural Arts Division, and by the Latin American Folk Institute to do a live concert in Washington at The Spectrum Theater and in 2006, Congressman Jose E. Serrano honored Orlando as “The Last Mambo King,” for his continuing to provide Latin American music and his willingness to devote time to helping the less fortunate.

Randolph Ave., Poughkeepsie. The coffeehouse performances start at 7:30 pm with an
open mic format followed by the featured performer, Jane March.
Jane March is a singer-songwriter who hails from Poughkeepsie. She has gained acclaim for her original songs and has been one of several local area artists participating in “Summer Songs”, a week long festival of songwriters engaged in classes, seminars and
creative projects where the end product is a new song. Jane features a strong voice and accompanies herself on guitar. Many of her songs are topical and cover many of the contemporary issues of the day.

She has released five blues-meets-indie-rock albums and is currently on an East Coast tour supporting her latest release, titled Turn It Up.  Welcome to our once-monthly presentation of Greg Westhoff's Westchester Swing Band, an incredible, world-class 18-piece Big Band featuring a full horn section with 5 sax's, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, and world-class drummer and bandleader Greg Westhoff. You'll never hear anything like it in a small venue anywhere in Westchester! The band performs classic Swing music, Sinatra, Broadway selections and songs from the '40's, '50's and beyond.
Greg has been playing drums for over 50 years. He has performed on the Tonight Show and others. Greg was the drummer with Walter Murphy and the Big Apple Band, who's popular disco-era hit was " A Fifth of Beethoven". He has recorded on "The Saturday Night Fever" Album and has done jingles, Broadway Shows, and TV movies. Greg is currently working on the popular TV shows Family Guy, American Dad, and Cleveland. His Big Band has been together for 12 years, performing all over the tri -state area.

Kirtan opens the heart, purifies the entire being and the surrounding atmosphere and stills the mind.
If you have never been to one, rest assured it is a solemn, holy experience that is also a ton of fun!
