 Cheryl grew up in the rural hills of Jamaica and is rooted in Christian inspirational music, jazz and classic R&B. She co-founded and was musical director for New Creation, a gospel group who toured internationally, opened for the Hawkins Family at an International Gospel Festival, did a private command performance for Jamaican Prime Minister Michael Manley, was nominated for a JAMI Award (the Jamaican equivalent of the Grammy), and received a prestigious Honeycomb Award for ground-breaking contributions to the development of Jamaican gospel music. Cheryl now takes pleasure in doing cabaret performances of Jazz, R&B classics as well.
Art Hightower, founder of A2D, is deeply called by the drums, and has performed with Chuck Mangione, Doc Severinsen, Jeff Tyzick, The Dixie Cups, Pee Wee Ellis, Barbra Mason, Loretta Holloway, Buster Cooper, Dennis Wilson, Ray Blue, David Amram and was the drummer for the national tour of "Ain't Misbehavin'" (2002-3).

 Fred Scribner, aka Midnight Slim, is a former member of The Levon Helm and is on Helm's "The Midnight Ramble Vol. 1". Scribner was also the driving force behind Little Sammy Davis and Midnight Slim, the House Band for Imus in the Morning Show, for almost 20 years.

 NAMASKAR is a fresh and innovative approach that merges jazz and traditional Indian soul music. Indian-American percussionist and tabla player, Sameer Gupta, explores a personal fusion of modern jazz and ancient Indian music with help from Arun Ramamurthy, on carnatic violin, and Perry Wortman on acoustic bass. Together, they combine compositions from the Indian Golden Era of Bollywood with North and South Indian ragas, and modern American jazz to craft an irresistibly beautiful artistic statement. Sameer Gupta creates a soaring blend of Indian and American music forms that has received thunderous applause at venues such as Winter Jazzfest 2011, Carnegie Hall Global Encounters and the Harlem Stage Family Series.

Robert's song "Sittin' In The Jailhouse" appeared on two Johnny Winter recordings, and 2 other songs made it onto ABC's daytime drama "All My Children" in 2008. Robert performs as a solo, a duo, or with The Robert Ross Band. Robert won a NY Music Award for Best Blues Artist in 1989 and has been nominated 6 times over the years. He has toured Europe extensively, and has released 7 cds in his own name.  Kairos: A Consort of Singers, under the direction of Edward Lundergan, presents Bach’s Cantata No. 17, "Wer Dank opfert, der preiset mich". The concert will also feature the “Kyrie” from William Byrd’s Mass for 4 Voices, performed by Kairos, and Handel’s Sonata for Oboe Op. 1, No. 7, performed by oboist Joël Evans. The cantata, mass movement and instrumental work are accompanied by chamber orchestra and will be performed as part of a choral evensong service.
The performance is part of an ongoing Bach Cantata series presented by Kairos at Holy Cross Monastery and is the fourth in the 2011 Bach Cantata Series, now in its sixth year. There is a suggested donation of $10 to support the Bach Cantata Series, which is funded entirely by member contributions and free-will donations at the cantata performances.
