 In high demand, Art, founder of A2D, has performed with Chuck Mangione, Doc Severinsen, Jeff Tyzick, The Dixie Cups, Pee Wee Ellis, Barbra Mason, Loretta Holloway, Buster Cooper, Dennis Wilson, Ray Blue and multi-instrumentalist David Amram. Deeply called by drums, he performed for over seven years with "A Few Bad Apples," three years with the "Jazz Connection", "Counterpoint," and formed a jazz trio called "Orisha"-an African word referring to the spirit of the god. In 2002-2003, Art was also the drummer for the national tour of "Ain't Misbehavin'".
Doug Smith, a phenomenal keyboardist, is a cornerstone of the music community in Peekskill. A key player in the One Station Plaza Jazz Jams, Doug has played with numerous jazz greats. He joined A2D, with Art Hightower on drums, Bill Conway on bass and Christopher Reising on guitar last year, rounding out an already amazing jazz group.

 KJ's performances will move you to laugh, dance and even cry. Her voice is powerful, her lyrics full of intelligent insight, and her musicianship is impeccable.
KJ's special blend of "Urban Folk & Jazz" has earned her 4 Independent Music Award nominations and in 2009, she was named one of Jazz.com's top female vocalists. Her CD, "Another Year Gone By" won the 2006 Independent Music Award for Best Live Performance. KJ has appeared at scores of festivals including the prestigious Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy. She is a frequent performer at clubs in NYC as well as the Baz Bar in St. Bart's. Her latest CD, "Album No.9", is a collection of 60's Jazz, Pop and Rock standards, a diverse range of songs like Help, The Shadow of Your Smile, Smoke On The Water, Pennies From Heaven and more. The band features KJ Denhert (guitar/vocals), Adam Klipple (keys), Ray Levier (drums), Mamadou Ba (bass) and Aaron Heick (sax).

Kirtan is the practice of devotional singing to the Divine through the use of Sanskrit mantras. A form of ‘bhakti’ yoga (the yoga of devotion), this powerful, transformational spiritual practice is considered an easy path to liberation. Kirtan opens the heart, purifies the entire being and the surrounding atmosphere and stills the mind.
Held the 3rd Thursday of every month, our Rock Jam is hosted by members of 'The Track' with special guests and alternates. All members are local singer songwriters who have come together in their love of ROCK. With Drew Bordeaux, the house guitarist/MC who occasionally switches it up on violin and bass, Rich Kelly on bass, Chris Burke on keys and Tito Wilson on drums and vocals. Bring your band or just you and join in the jam. Great musicians, and a great time had by all. Sign-up begins 8pm.
