 The 2010 Eisteddfod returns to the Hudson Valley for a second year with a fun-filled 3-days of traditional folk/roots music. Enjoy 30 or so outstanding performers in 30 workshops and three concerts, plus an open mike, late night singing, a contra dance, and informal socializing, and music making. It will be held November 5-7, 2010 -- Stay at the resort for the weekend in a convenient hotel room and enjoy, good food, an indoor pool, and more. Or just come for a day or part of the day.
The festival features performers who are representatives of the living ethnic traditions, and performers who have become steeped in those traditions. Hogan’s work in songwriting and performing has seen him share stages with Geoff Muldaur, Ray Bonneville, Eilen Jewell, Les Sampou, Kris Delmhorst, Paul Rishell & Annie Raines, Spider John Koerner, Brooks Williams, and others, and he has recently headlined Club Passim, performed at the WUMB Music Fest (aka Boston Folk Festival), and showcased for the Boston Area Coffeehouse Association and the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance conference. The Boston Phoenix newspaper has called Hogan “a distinctive new musical voice”.

 A new, up-and-coming young band, "Tossing The Apple Core", consists of Yorktown High students Alex Finkelstein, Sierra Leitner and Justine DeCora, and Somers student Thomas Oliverio. Having just performed at both the Justin Veatch Foundation's Open Mic Night and Support Connection's Support-A-Walk Walkathon, they are more determined than ever to make strides in the local music scene. We're excited to offer them the opportunity to perform on our 12 Grapes stage.
Tossing The Apple Core has developed a large fan base already, with favorite songs like "Easy" as well as new songs like "October" and "Get Home", which highlight their raw musical talents. What makes TTAC unique is the fact that each member has the capability to play multiple instruments, a quality they feel keeps their audiences entertained. The band will be joined tonight by Melissa Frabotta, a 17-year-old singer/songwriter who's performed at many of our Sunday showcases and Open Mics.

Created by Kat Koppett in association with Freestyle Repertory Theatre in New York, Spontaneous Broadway is a virtouso evening of musical improv.
The audience submits titles of "songs that have never been written". In a fictional "backer's audition", these titles inspire improvised songs in act one. In act two, the audience's favorite song serves as the basis of an entire (45 minute) Broadway musical, complete with costumes and set.
The format received a rave review from The New York Times when it premiered in New York in 1995. You ain’t seen nuttin’ like it, folks!

 Kenny White is one of the most sought after producers/composers/pianists in NYC. He's written and arranged literally hundreds of national TV and radio commercials, working with Linda Ronstadt, Dwight Yoakam, Gladys Knight, Aaron Neville, Ricky Skaggs, Kathy Mattea and others on tunes indelibly printed in your mind. He has also scored and written songs for many indie and major studio films. His production of Shawn Colvin's I Don't Know Why, from Fat City, helped earn her a Grammy nomination. Amid all his success, Kenny woke up one morning and realized that his real passion may have eluded him ...up to that point. He took his collection of well crafted, insightful & very musical compositions, assembled a group of A-List players and recorded Uninvited Guest, then hit the road with some of his very talented pals. The Swing Band is back... and hotter than ever! 12 Grapes is normally closed on Mondays, but the second Monday of each month we open at 6:00 for dinner to present this incredible 18-piece Big Band, featuring a full horn section with 5 sax's, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, and world-class drummer and bandleader Greg Westhoff.

The evening performance will be a culmination of what they learned in school that day. A previously recorded studio CD of the evening’s music will be available for purchase the night of the event. CD’s are $10 .00 A portion of the proceeds will benefit the ASM PTA. Food will be available from local vendors from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and during intermission. Mark your calendars and bring the family to a one of a kind event.
Performer and personal trainer Sara Martinez will be leading this fun and exciting evening of Zumba, the dance/aerobic craze that fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program. Get your groove on and move to the music for this low-impact introductory class. 
I'll be playing at various showcases at the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance conference. A folk frenzy and sleep deprivation at it's best!
