 Touted internationally as "the only well-know woman bassist in Jazz of her generation", New York's own Kim Clarke performs on the Acoustic Bass, Electric Upright and four and five-stringed Electric Bass Guitar.
In her 22-year tour affiliation with trombonist Joseph Bowie and his avant-jazz funk unit Defunkt, Kim wowed audiences from Iceland to Istanbul. Internationally she is noted as "at home in the Ron Carter School of HardBop" and "a dynamic Woman in Jazz."
Ms Clarke has been included in the Who's Who In the Performing Arts, Bass Player Magazine, Guitar Player Magazine, Germany's Jazzdimensions Online Magazine, a number of European magazines and several books on Women in Jazz.
In 1997, Clarke and friend Rob Scheps formed the MAGNETS. In 2000 the band recorded "MAGNETS! Live at the Earshot Jazz Festival" in Seattle which Kim co-produced with long-time Defunkt bandmate, trumpeter John Mulkerin.

Kofi and Sankofa Drum and Dance Ensemble, led by internationally renowned master drummer Kofi Donkor, perform five ethnic dances from West Africa: Kpalogo (Ga tribe) and Gahu (Ada tribe), both harvest dances; Fanga, a greetings dance (from Liberia); Agadza, a migration dance (Ewe tribe); and Damba, a wedding dance (Dagomba tribe). Drummers Donkor, Mama Jo Ann, and John Grady, and dancer Carolyn Evans recreate the village environment as seen in West African Durbars with colorful costumes and props.  Burton Green, an eclectic composer and performer, is involved with jazz, contemporary classics, electronics, and a great variety of folklore musics. Living in Amsterdam, he has toured/recorded extensively throughout Europe and now spends a lot of time in New York. He has recorded over 50 records and CD's of his compositions.
Reut Regev (trombone), Igal Foni (drums) hail from Israel. Reut has played with some of Israel’s most creatively improvisational musicians, and has performed at Israel’s top Jazz Festivals. Reut has been living and creating music in NYC for over a decade, collaborating, recording and touring with some of the finest musicians in various fields, including Latin, Klezmer, Rock, Blues, Jazz, contemporary classical and improvised music. Anthony Braxton, Frank London, Butch Morris, Joe Bataan, Firewater, Elliott Sharp, Dave Douglas, Metropolitan Klezmer, Hazmat Modine and many more have picked Reut as their Trombonist of Choice for tours and recordings. |

 Maria Muldaur's musical roots run as deep and varied as the Greenwich Village she grew up in. In the '60s, she joined John Sebastian & Steve Katz to form the Even Dozen Jug Band, and soon joined the Jim Kweskin Jug Band, appearing on 5 albums with the group. After 2 albums with her husband Geoff, she went solo, releasing the gold record MIDNIGHT AT THE OASIS in 1974. Her many recordings since then are garnished with "tip-of-the-hat" guest appearances by artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Huey Lewis, Sonny Landreth and Mavis Staples, and showcase her abilities in jazz, pop, R&B, folk, gospel and blues. She has even worked in the musical theatre, having accepted roles in touring company versions of Pump Boys & Dinettes and Pirates of Penzance.

 For the past three years, Michael "Leroy" Bram has been the drummer and musical director for 2010 Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Jason Mraz, touring the world, making numerous television appearances and performing at countless festivals. Michael has recorded with Willie Nelson, and toured and recorded with 2007 Blues Music Award nominee, Dave Gross, and 2008 Blues Music Award Nominee, Gina Sicilia, among others.
Michael was seen most recently at 12 Grapes with his band, Michael Bram & the Alternators. His solo acoustic gigs are always met with high praise in and around the Hudson Valley, and we look forward to his debut Singer/Songwriter performance... We expect many surprises tonight as Michael treats us to his original songs, infused with his endless sense of humor and endearing personality.

 As Jack Grace readied himself to record his latest album, he realized... not quite to his surprise ...that nearly all of his new tunes revolved around a common theme: alcohol. Titled Drinking Songs For Lovers, one might be forgiven for believing that Jack should ease up a little! A consummate live performer, lyricist, singer and guitarist, Jack is at the helm of a powerhouse band that plays "kick the can" with any style that it stumbles across. Intelligence, humor and unpredictable cross-pollinations of musical categories await. But don't take our word for it. Alan Young of the New York Press raved "...what sets his songs apart from rest of the country or alt-country scene is his laugh-out-loud, absurdist wit. Not only is Drinking Songs For Lovers a great party album and a great driving album, but it's also very smart and very funny." Jack Grace has also earned praise from peers and even a musical legend or two. Jerry Lee Lewis quipped "He sounds like that Cash kid, only good"

 David Honeyboy Edwards is, at age 95, the last active blues guitarist from the Mississippi Delta with direct connections to the first generation of recorded blues players. Blues guitarists Charley Patton, Son House, Tommy Johnson, Tommy McClennan, Robert Johnson and harmonica player Sonny Boy Williamson, although all older than Honeyboy, were his contemporaries – playing in the juke joints and out on the streets across the southern states. In his travels, Honeyboy also met and played with nearly all the musicans of his own and later generations who became legends in the blues pantheon, but Edwards was moving around so much over such a wide area that he remained unrecorded until Alan Lomax of the Library Of Congress found him in 1942. To this day, Honeyboy Edwards is a fast, dextrous guitarist who wows audiences with his nimble instrumental technique and deep, emotional vocals. He is equally renowned for his photographic memory and his vivid, colorful storytelling.

 On the first Thursday of each month, Jon Cobert invites a different guest artist to join him onstage for a varied and intersting evening of song. Jon Cobert is a five-time Grammy-nominee, singer, songwriter and keyboard player. Jon's recorded and produced with many music industry greats... John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Chapin, Harry Chapin, Pete Seeger, Judy Collins, Chubby Checker, Al Green... the list goes on and on.
Tonight, Jon is joined by the multi-talented Andrew Bordeaux. Drew is also an accomplished singer/songwriter and musician. On occasion, Drew treats us to his electric fiddle, for a unique sound that is truly inspirational. The duo will be performing classic Rock covers as well as originals. The first time Jon & Drew performed together, they became mutual fans as well as good friends. Their combined energy on stage is always electrifying.
