Join us for this special Labor Day Weekend concert with reknowned bluesman Guy Davis. Whether he is performing on TV, on nationally syndicated radio programs, in front of 15,000 people on the main stage of a major music festival, or teaching an intimate gathering of students at a music camp, Davis feels the instinctive desire to give each listener his ‘all’. His ‘all’ is the Blues. The routes and roots of his blues are as diverse as the music form itself. It can be soulful, moaning out a people’s cry, or as playful and bouncy as a hayride. He’s a musician, composer, actor, director, and writer. He’s appeared on television, in film, on the stage, both with and without his famous actor-activist parents Ruby Dee and the late Ossie Davis. Since 1995, he has released seven critically performing music acclaimed records. His latest album, “Legacy” was picked as one of the Best CDs of the Year by National Public Radio (NPR).
Rhett Tyler ~guitarist, songwriter, vocalist and producer~ is best known for his explosive style of scorching modern blues guitar and high-octane, house-rocking live performances. His music is certainly rooted in the tradition of blues, but Rhett also incorporates jazz, rock and gospel influences to create an innovative modern musical blend with his signature guitar style. Rhett has shared billing with many distinguished blues artists, including Johnny Winter, Delbert McClinton and John Hammond. John Swenson of Rolling Stone calls Tyler "a powerful front man, in the tradition of Johnny Winter [and] Jimi Hendrix. Rhett Tyler is the certain face of future blues."

For the past three years, Michael "Leroy" Bram has been the drummer and musical director for 2010 Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Jason Mraz, touring the world, making numerous television appearances and performing at countless festivals. Michael has recorded with Willie Nelson, and toured and recorded with 2007 Blues Music Award nominee, Dave Gross, and 2008 Blues Music Award Nominee, Gina Sicilia, as well as w/ blues harp ace Dennis Gruenling.
At 16 years old, Connor Kennedy is already performing with world class musicians and making a name for himself in the Hudson Valley. A multi-instrumentalist, Kennedy plays all kinds of music delivered authentically with energy. Whether he's playing smooth blues licks, or twangy telecaster lines, Connor Kennedy will leave your ears wanting more.
Performing with Connor are two young musicians of a rare caliber for their ages. On bass, is 18-year old Lincoln Center award winning bassist Shawn Ferraro. Shawn was awarded Most Outstanding Bass Soloist at the 2009 Essentially Ellington competition. On the drums, is the soulful 15-year old Lee Falco. Lee, like Levon Helm, is a singing drummer; a rarity in todays music scene. Together, the three voices of Connor, Shawn, and Lee produce wonderful three part harmonies remeniscent of The Band, and The Grateful Dead.

Self-described as "just a singer," Maura's multi decade singing career has brought her international acclaim and two Grammy nominations - including a 2010 nomination for her album, Naked. Maura O'Connell began her professional musical journey as vocalist for the traditionally-based Celtic group DeDanann. While in Dublin and on later trips to Nashville O'Connell met Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Tim O'Brien, Jerry Douglas and other top-flight acoustic players whose music resonated with her and influenced her then ground breaking musical penchant for blending Celtic traditions with a wide variety of other genres. O'Connell has lent her incredible voice to the projects of such artists as Van Morrison, James Taylor, Nanci Griffith, Dolly Parton, Bonnie Raitt, The Chieftains and Roseanne Cash. If you missed their previous 12 Grapes performances, now's your chance! Andy Aledort has performed with scores of rock legends... Dickey Betts, the Allman's and the late, great, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Famous for meticulously capturing, note-for-note, the licks and tone of artists like Clapton and Hendrix, Andy Aledort is often tapped for high-profile appearances. When a band needs a player who can recreate the guitar work of Stevie Ray, Buddy Guy, Albert King, Freddie King or Johnny Winter, Andy delivers in a big way. Aledort was once sought after by Aerosmith's Joe Perry for an emergency Blues lesson, and has performed as a member of the Dickey Betts and Great Southern band for the last five years, displaying masterful slide guitar work. Aledort also participated in a series of Jimi Hendrix Tribute concerts, including a three-city tour of the west coast with veteran bluesman Buddy Guy. Dinner Reservations recommended.

Jimmy Tate is not only an accomplished guitarist, pianist and vocalist, he's also a world-renowned tap dancer. Jimmy has performed and sung in five Broadway shows, sharing the stage with artists such as Gregory Hines, Savion Glover, Ben Vereen, Phylicia Rashad, Ann Reinking, and three-time Tony winner Hinton Battle. He even performed at the 1997 Grammy Awards. Jimmy is able to mold his voice to almost any style of music: Dave Matthews, Elton John, Billy Joel, John Mayer, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Coldplay, The Fray, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, The Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, U2, and The Eagles are just a few of the groups and artists he covers. Joining him tonight is the ever-amazing musician and singer, Drew Bordeaux. 
Gandalf Murphy & The Slambovian Circus Of Dreams has been variously described as "alt-country/ roots-rock," "folk-pop," "hillbilly-Floyd," and "surreal Americana" – a clear indicator of its singularly indescribable uniqueness. At the same time, their sound and even their songs feel so familiar, so classic, it's as if you've been listening to these characters all your life. The "Circus Of Dreams" has won critical acclaim as well as a fiercely loyal following. They've been Hudson Valley Magazine's "Band of the Year" for 3 years. The Circus' shows are notoriously un-staged, which is part of the fun and keeps their shows refreshingly real. However, while they don't take themselves too seriously, it's evident that they do take their jobs as music-makers very seriously: Gandalf Murphy & The Slambovian Circus Of Dreams brings you a show of precision, high-flying magic sure to delight one and all!
A Night of Music from Northern Country Artist’s
The show will open with a special acoustic performance by Elly Wininger, and then The Peggy Atwood Band with Kyle Esposito will be a real treat for the legendary Peggy Atwood. Charles Lyonhart with his Junkyard Angels George Quinn and Chris Zaloom will then perform set of rare, classic and new songs from “Outside Looking In” with some special guests. The night will close with an all start rocking jam of all of the artist’s attending and maybe even a few surprises. Tickets are $8.00.

Our once-monthly Open Mics are mostly Acoustic, but most styles of music are welcome. All talented artists are invited to come take the stage and enjoy one of the most talked about music venues in Westchester.
