Walt Michael is the Artist in Residence at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland; as well as founder and Executive Director of Common Ground on the Hill, an international art organization which seeks to promote interracial harmony through the traditional arts.

 Tony Trischka is perhaps the most influential banjo player in the roots music world. For more than 35 years, Tony's stylings have inspired a whole generation of bluegrass and acoustic musicians, including Bela Fleck - one of his early students. Fans of hardcore Americana singer/multi-instrumentalist TIM ERIKSEN ("Cordelia's Dad" band; "Cold Mountain" soundtrack) know him for his hair-raising voice and intense renditions of ancient American songs. Hailed as "among the world's finest folk practitioners" (-Toronto Star), Tim's sound is a tightrope walk balancing tradition and innovation, as becomes someone who has shared the stage with both Doc Watson and Kurt Cobain, and recorded with both Ralph Stanley and Jack White.

A veteran of both the Irish and American folk circuit, Bob is an experienced balladeer and multi-instrumentalist. He sings in a strong baritone, from rousing "pub song" favorites to tender love songs and accompanies himself on guitar, cittern, banjo, and button accordion.
Like the minstrels of old, he performs songs that weave a tale of people’s history. His songs also reflect a strong social conscience and a lifetime of working for peace, justice and social action. He is a long time member of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild, and a former staff member of Sing Out! Magazine, the country’s premier folk music magazine.

We're working on an answer. Why "quartet" when we are a trio? Here's the current answer to that question, and it's a pretty good one (existentially speaking, that is). The fourth member is you, the listener. If there are a room full of listeners, then the whole room is potentially the fourth member. The Rhinebeck Choral Clubs announces its special 65th Anniversary Spring Concert featuring 5th place contestants from the hit show, America’s Got Talent, “The Voices of Glory.” Concert dates are Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Rhinebeck High School Auditorium, Rhinebeck, NY at 8:00pm and Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the New Hackensack Reformed Church, Wappingers Falls, NY. at 3:00pm. General Admission is $10.00, students are $8.00. A small reception will follow each Concert.
The program will feature hit songs including “Imagine,” by John Lennon, “”What a Wonderful World,” by George David Weiss and Bob Thiele and “Seasons of Love,” from the Tony Award Winning musical RENT. The Rhinebeck Choral Club will also premier “Freedom’s Plow” a song commissioned for the group’s 65th Anniversary.

 Led by saxophonist and Mahopac High School Band Director Rich Williams, the Secret Organ Trio's sound is rooted in the great American tradition of Hammond organ based jazz groups. The group plays soul jazz, a groove-infused style of jazz that incorporates blues, gospel and rhythm & blues. The sound is reminiscent of the great organ trios of the 1960's with some modern and original elements thrown in as well. The result is a fun atmosphere that moves people and makes everyone feel good.
