Depot Street won 2nd Place at the Saugerties Kiwanis Club Battle of The Bands as part of Saugerties' July 4th 2009 Celebratory Events.

I've not yet met Diana Mae Munch, but I've heard WONDERFUL things about her, and I already know about Sharon ~ she's an extraordinary guitarist, vocalist and composer!!! This promises to be a wonderful night. I think you should definitely try to come!! (Not that I'm trying to tell you what to do or anything ~ I'm just sayin'.)

 Moving to NYC in 1980 John has performed and recorded in a wide variety of formats both as a leader and a sideman. As an accompanist John has worked with Peggy Lee, Sylvia Syms, Rosemary Clooney, Mark Murphy, and Tony Bennett as well as live performances with contemporary instrumentalists George Mraz , Tom Harrell, John Abercrombie, and Red Mitchell to name just a few. In 1997. John's guitar style utilizes a finger-style technique that approaches the guitar like a piano. For John the challenge of comping chord fragments and playing melodies simultaneously provides a backdrop for a more open style of playing and improvising.His latest project "Time Will Reveal" (UnderhillJazz 003) , produced by bassist David Finck, showcases his melodic full-toned guitar style in an acoustic latin jazz setting featuring pop material largely from the 70's |

 Led by saxophonist and Mahopac High School Band Director Rich Williams, the Secret Organ Trio's sound is rooted in the great American tradition of Hammond organ based jazz groups. The group plays soul jazz, a groove-infused style of jazz that incorporates blues, gospel and rhythm & blues. The sound is reminiscent of the great organ trios of the 1960's with some modern and original elements thrown in as well. The result is a fun atmosphere that moves people and makes everyone feel good.

Tom Earl gathers together his "Carnival of Friends" for a night of remembering the music of the past. Founding member of the bluegrass band Oxford Depot, Tom gets together with the original line up including Rich Walter and Leon Swyka sharing the mixture of Bluegrass and Classic Rock. Tom is a "sit in" member of Rob Schiff and the Grateful Band. The evening will end with an electric set of Classic Rock including The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers and more.
Tonight, 12 Grapes is hosting a special "Girls Night Out" (although you're welcome to bring your man!)
National Night Out is a community event that focuses on crime prevention and safety issues in a venue of fun for everyone! Everything is FREE! Food, entertainment and fireworks! Jonathan has acquired an enviable track record, one of skill and grace in the sometimes brutal world of the music business. And he has done it while keeping intact his ear for a strong melody and love of a beautifully crafted song. During his 29-year career he has recorded 13 albums and penned such notable hits as "Shanty" and "Sunshine", which earned him a gold record in 1971. This classic song, covered by Paul Westerberg, is included in the 1995 release of "Friends", a compilation of music for the hit NBC-TV show. His 1987 children's album, "Little Hands", selected by the National Library Association as a "Notable Children's Recording", has sold over 20,000 copies and is still going strong.
