Woodstock, NY   See Map
Doors At 8:30: SHow At 9pm

Tickets $15

Accomplished New York sax player, vocalist, and songwriter Jay Collins brings his Brooklyn-based Kings County Band to the Bearsville Theater.

One of the most sought-after musicians in the jazz, rock, and blues arenas, Collins is a familiar fixture as a longtime member of both the Levon Helm Band and Gregg Allman & Friends. Jay is also known for his saxophone and flute work with the Allman Brothers Band, Andrew Hill, James Hunter, Jacky Terrasson, Bobby Sanabria, and the late LeRoy Vinnegar.

Now a Woodstock resident, Jay uses his gritty, unique voice and his bluesy horn to mix up blues, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and funky New Orleans style into a modern patchwork of roots-bound sound. His band’s flights of improvisation, though, as well as their musical attitude, could have only been inspired by jazz.

Pawling, NY   See Map
Maia Sharp's voice possesses an urgent sincerity as she sings her intelligent, accessible lyrics & arrangements, and you are left always wanting to hear her songs one more time. Coming from a musical family, it's obvious that all this comes naturally to her. Maia's music is down-to-earth enough to appeal to her acoustic audience ...but, at the same time, you expect her catchy music to hit the pop charts at any moment! Bonnie Raitt said "Maia is making some of the most innovative and soulful music around with songs that are head and shoulders above the rest. She has become one of my favorite artists." Maia has seen more than two dozen of her songs recorded by artists that run the gamut of genres, from chart-topping pop artists to Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame-ers, including Bonnie Raitt, The Dixie Chicks, Art Garfunkel, Trisha Yearwood, David Wilcox, Cher and Kathy Mattea. Sharp has also collaborated with Carole King, Jules Shear, David Wilcox, Lisa Loeb and many more.

Gil toured as lead guitarist for Blood, Sweat & Tears, and has played with pop & jazz legends such as David Sanborn, Bob James, Will Lee, Eric Alexander, Bob Malach, David Clayton-Thomas, Toni Braxton, Chuck Rainey to name but a few. Steve Chizmadia (pictured here) is a 2003 Kerrville New Folk finalist. In 2005 his song "This Old Town" received honorable mention from the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival. He has showcased at Northeast Regional Folk Alliance in New York, and we look forward to his performance tonight.

Bill Kelly calls himself "Mr. Americana". He sings from the heart; a folk singer who's truly entertaining and engaging. His CD, "Bread on the Waters" is filled with great songs. One reviewer writes, "He has the voice and pen of a true artist, with a great sense of melody."

Ann Gulian at keyboard keep things interesting. Her voice makes you stop and take notice; her delivery is as professional as any world-renowned songstress. Every song on her CD is a hit. We especially love "More than a Minute" and "Love Tries So Hard". Come get to know Ann and her songs.

Lisa Landry
Comedic
Bodles Opera House
39 Main Street
Chester, NY   See Map
Lisa Landry is one of the most fearless and innovative women working in stand-up comedy. Her fresh take on the traditional topics of family, love and modern life earned her the distinction of starring in her own half hour special "Comedy Central Presents Lisa Landry." And a nationwide audience vote catapulted her special to third place in Comedy Central's 2008 Annual Standup Showdown. Landry is the first and only woman to ever place in the top three.

That same year, Landry produced her first comedy album, "Put your Keys in the Keybowl" -which debuted at Number 31 on itunes. "Put your Keys in the Keybowl" was ultimately selected by both itunes' comedy editors and the editors of Punchline Magazine as one of the Top 10 Best Comedy CD's of 2008.

In January 2009- her overwhelmingly-received special placed sixth out of the one hundred and ten Comedy Central Presents vying in the showdown contest.

The Louisiana native is featured on the "Brett Butler Presents: The Southern Belles of Comedy" DVD- slated for release and tour this spring. She's used her sassy mouth for commentary on CMT's "20 Greatest Redneck Moments"-chosen a Top Pick by TV Guide- and for E!'s "Forbes Top 100 Celebrities". Guest appearances include Fox's "Mike and Juliet in the Morning Show", the "Bob and Tom Show", Fox's "Redeye" and the outrageous "Hollyweird" segment on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country".

An extremely versatile performer- Landry is one of a handful of comedians selected by TBS for their "Bitcoms" series. She's also recorded a wide-range of voice over spots for radio (Nextel, Cingular), industrials (Yahoo, Deutche Bank) and television (the Travel Channel, A&E), co-starred on "Law and Order: SVU" and had the longest run ever- four years- as a contributing writer to US Weekly's satirical "Fashion Police".

One of the most sought-after female comedians in the business, her hectic tour schedule keeps her constantly on-stage headlining at clubs, theaters and colleges throughout the country. Lisa Landry's easy going style- along with her sharp wit, unique perspective and well-crafted material- makes her a true audience favorite.
