 Keano is a local 11 year old boy recently diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma (bone cancer). The Steel House is hosting a benefit on Sunday March 22, 2009 starting at Noon. We have 6 great bands donating their time, with Laura Lynn and DJ Jim from our County Night doing some dancing and Karaoke at the end of the event. We also have raffles, prizes, and giveaways. All proceeds from the raffles and the door go directly to the family. The Steel House is also donating a portion of the proceeds to the family.

Joshua Morris began performing classical music at an early age with his father, mother, brother and sister, he began performing around the south, and the Morris Family became well known for their beautiful Irish harmonies. Later, Joshua expanded his musical repertoire to include rock and roll, drawing on his classical and Irish background, and with his band Sinclair, released the album Stories of this Land in 2002. Joshua recorded and produced the 2004 Morris Family release Farewell to Summer.
After moving to Beacon, NY in 2008, Joshua has continued his musical ambitions, melding his voice, violin and guitar into a solo act adept in both faithful traditional tunes as well as improvised original work.
Joshua currently designs recording studios and other acoustically-sensitive spaces for Walters-Storyk Design Group in Highland, NY.

Sheri's voice and guitar work is described as "hypnotic bluesy American soul meets classic British melodic-pop." All we know is we love it. Influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell, John Mayer, Norah Jones, and others.
Abby Payne lives and performs in NYC. Abby has a distinct and beautiful voice, and her wonderfully creative original songs will move you. When Abby is at the keyboard, all your troubles melt away. From coffeehouses to concert halls, festivals and beyond, John Hammond has spent forty years entertaining blues, folk and rock audiences around the world, performing intense solo-acoustic blues. A Grammy Award winner and four time nominee, Hammond is also a multiple W.C. Handy award winner who has shared the stage and/or recorded with many of the masters, including Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker and Howlin' Wolf. John has recorded over twenty five albums and his passionate commitment to traditional blues made him the natural choice to host the BRAVO TV special and Sony Home Video, The Search for Robert Johnson. His 2003 release, Ready For Love, was produced by David Hidalgo of Los Lobos and is the perfect follow up to Wicked Grin, the acclaimed album produced by longtime friend Tom Waits and featuring all Waits' songs. Ready For Love features John's road band including Augie Meyers, Stephen Hodges, Frank Carillo and Marty Ballou playing an exciting variety of tracks including songs by George Jones, Tom Waits, David Hidalgo, Jagger and Richards, Willie Dixon, and a rare original by John himself.
