Each year for the past four years Joey Spallina accompanied by family and friends has ushered in the Holiday season with a night of rocking good music. This year Joey who happens to be one of New York's leading studio musicians will be joined by his new band and will feature original songs from his latest debuted cd as well as some great covers and holiday tunes. The kitchen will stay open a little latter than usual and the bar is sure to serve up your favorite spirit. There is a $10. cover at the door.

Myles Returns; a 13 yr old, multi-instrumentalist prodigy playing his unique blend of Rockin' Rhythm & Soul. His performances include songs from James Brown, Wilson Pickett, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Myles' own Originals and many more. He's played at the top venues in New York City; BB Kings & the Iridum Jazz Club in Times Square, The Cutting Room, Tera Blues, The Red Lion, South Street Seaport, Madison Square Garden (Knick's Half-Time Show) and many others in the Tri State area. In a newspaper article about Myles, Sid Bernstein (who's best known as the man who brought the Beatles to America) was interviewed and said; "Myles is a young prodigy that will captivate and thrill an audience". Hank was leaving his favorite hangout bar on sixth street one early afternoon. as he stepped off the curb and into the street he turned, for just a second, to catch a glance for a moment, of a drop dead gorgeous blonde. Our hero dazzeld, for a moment. time slowed,her red lips smiled and thats when the beer truck brakes failed and ran ol Hank over with a thud. Hank rose like a ghost white and shaky, and then he saw smoke rising from the brim of his hat! His head was on fire! a crazy rhythm section appeared and put it out with the spray of beer. And thats when the Skinny 3 first appeared, They dusted Hank off, sat him comfortably in there long black cadillac and started there trip down the lost highway.

The music of Gandalf Murphy & The Slambovian Circus Of Dreams has been variously described as "hillbilly-Floyd," "folk-pop," "alt-country, roots-rock," and "surreal Americana;" a clear indicator of its singularly indescribable uniqueness. Dancing freely between all existing religious and philosophical mythologies, the music is uplifting, empowering, and a lot of fun.

Neil Alexander & Nail presents their Annual Winter Solstice Celebration Concert at the Newburgh Free Library on Sunday December 21 at 1:30 PM. The winter solstice was an important date on ancient calendars. Prehistoric monuments like Stonehenge and Newgrange in Ireland indicate the day with remarkable precision. Neil Alexander & Nail will honor the day with their special blend of red-hot jazz, burning grooves and soaring soundscapes. In the spirit of the season they will be accepting canned food donations. Everyone is invited to join in a drum circle jam session finale. Bring a percussion instrument (or a pot and spoon) and plan to make a joyful noise to chase the darkness away and call back the sun
Since forming in 1997, Neil Alexander & NAIL continues a commitment to the future of jazz and improvised music. Directing a diverse stylistic palette and fierce musicianship, Neil and his group skillfully blend modern and traditional forms with experimental concepts and electronic music.
Annual benefit concert, now in its 11th year, which raises blankets for NYC’s homeless.
The sixth and final cantata in our 2008 series, Kairos will present Bach's beautiful Advent Cantata No. 140, Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme (Wake up, the voice calls us) with chamber orchestra. The concert will also feature Arcangelo Corelli's Christmas Concerto. The concert is free to the public (free-will offering gratefully accepted). The cantata and instrumental work will be performed as part of a choral evensong service. Supported in part by a grant from the Dutchess County Arts Council, administrator of public funds through NYSCA's Decentralization Program.
Once again Carolyn Sills and her band The Poor Man's Roses will be paying tribute to the queen of country music, the late Patsy Cline, with a Country Christmas show in her honor. The show will feature a full night of Patsy Cline hits such as "Crazy"' "Walking After Midnight", "I Fall To Pieces"' and "Sweet Dreams" as well as classic holiday numbers made popular by Patsy Cline, Brenda Lee, Peggy Lee, Elvis Presley, Burl Ives and the like. It's a swinging 50's and 60's tribute sure to get music lovers of all ages in the holiday spirit. The doors open at 5pm and showtime is 7pm.
