OrCA Blues Band will play your favorite acoustic and electric bar songs from the ’60s through today. We are L.A. Hamburg on guitar and sometimes the harp; Vito Petroccitto of 4 Guys in Disguise on guitar; Prof. George Segnit on vocals; John “Oakie” Chocianowski of 4 Guys on drums; and Charlie Cornacchio on bass.

Whisperado members hail from Brooklyn and Queens, New York. Very quickly they have become one of New York City's hottest Americana / Roots groups. Whisperado performs original songs about some very interesting American pastimes and passions. Bowling, capitalism and demanding women to name a few. Powerful rootsy rock mixed with the soulfullness of Memphis blues creates a mix of heartfulness and humor that catches the American experience. Great harmony and first rate guitar strumming rounds out a well honed sound. There is no cover for this performance. The performers appreciate your generosity.
A community performance cafe. There is a featured artist 8:15 to 9:00 and an open mic. Musicians, poets, and performers of all sorts are welcome. Coffee, teas, and desserts are available. $3 donation will benefit the John Herald Fund for musicians in crisis. For info call: 845-688-9453.

Jubilant guitar instrumentals, evocative ballads sung in French and English and exhilarating drum jams characterize this dynamic New York duo, The Gypsy Nomads. Blazing a trail with their trademark gypsy/celtic/folk rock, these spirited troubadours tour the US year round and are favorites at festivals nationwide that tout the music of the mystical realm.
The Clancy Tradition's origins are found in Ireland in the 1950s when the Clancy family of Moy, County Tyrone formed a Ceili Band, playing at Irish country dances and concerts throughout Ireland. In 1960, brothers Pat, Eugene and Brendan Clancy left to tour the United States as the Irish Ramblers, playing at clubs like Gerde's Folk City & Carnegie Hall(!), and recording The Patriot Game for Electra. Their musical tradition is currently being passed to the next generation with The Clancy Tradition: Eugene on guitar & vocals, daughter Rosemary Clancy on fiddle & mandolin, son John Clancy on bass, Pat on piano & accordion and daughter Liadain Clancy singing. We are honored that they chose the Towne Crier Cafe's stage to perform & record for their live album.

Tastebudd's is a wonderful little Cafe that serves all kinds of goodies from gourmet sanwiches to their famous chocolat treats. A very nice place to spend a few hours in December listening to music. 
Tonight, we'll be featuring -- O.K., let's face it, even though it's a coffeehouse, we're NOT playing anything where you NEED a cup of coffee just to stay awake. We're claiming some floor space in the Studio, rolling in the amps and drum kit, plugging in, and making sure there's a whole lotta shakin' goin' on -- so don't say we didn't give you advance notice, Humberto. Furthermore . . . you will have a good time.

Although Leon Redbone's iconic guise of white fedora, jacket and dark sunglasses has been thoroughly satirized, it's easy to overlook what a genuinely gifted artist he remains. His love affair with tunes from the turn-of-the-19th/20th-century, flapper-era radio ditties, depression-spawned ragtime and WWII folk-jazz is as contagious as a good giggle. Opportunities for this unlikely figure to impose himself on pop culture have been plentiful: his network debut on Saturday Night Live in 1976, making him a cult classic; the wise, animated snowman in Elf (his duet on Baby, It's Cold Outside served as the picture's theme song); TV title tunes to Mr Belvedere and Harry & The Hendersons; the homespun beer jingle This Bud's for You; the Getting To Know You voice on a series of Chevrolet ads; etc. It's easy to get lost in his stage exploits, and overlook what a truly fine player he is -- fingerpicking with a ragtime bounce or jumping between chords with the grace of a card sharp.

Kairos will present the rarely-performed Petite Messe Solennelle by Gioachino Rossini in its original scoring for chamber choir, 2 pianos and harmonium. Accompanying Kairos will be Gary Palmieri, harmonium and Ruthanne Schempf and Kristin Dockery, piano. The concert is presented as part of the Music in Central Valley concert series.

Bacchus in the center of New Paltz tries a DJ experiment on December 3, 10 and 17 with DJ Wavy Davy and roster of rotating special guests. Expect bossa, breakbeat/rare groove, old school hip hop, reggae, acid jazz and more. Requests taken if the wi-fi is on. Cheap beer, pub food and a hip crowd of musicians and their fans. Dancing allowed and encouraged.
