Chester, NY   See Map
Spanning from the late 1950's into the new millennium, the Earls have continuously been pleasing audiences with their flawless harmonies, ceaseless vitality and endearing dedication to their fans. Larry Chance & the Earls represent the music that helped define Rock 'N' Roll, the original doo wop era that put the street corner- society onto the national charts. Larry and company have placed many songs on the charts, including: "Life Is But a Dream", "Never", "I Believe", and of course the classic "Remember Then". They still enjoy performing them, and always include the audience as a part of the show. The Performance will feature audience participation and comedy. Larry's comedy talents were featured on the Imus in the Morning show, where he performed, memorably, for a ten year period as the voice of characters, such as, Geraldo "Santana Banana", and the streetwise "Rainbow Johnson".

Angela "Missy" Billups started singing at the age of eight in Mt. Vernon, New York. She is certainly blessed with a voice that evokes emotion and spirtuality. Since she began she has shared her talent throughout the metropolitan area in churches, schools, and places of need. As of late she has spread her sound to HBO, The Westies Music Awards, Wrestlemania, and many festivals and concerts throughout the United States. Tonight she will be accompanied by her pianist and backup singers and it is sure going to be a night to remember. Like they say about Rye Bread; "You don't have to be religious to enjoy great gospel". There is no cover for this evenings performance. Your generosity is always welcomed.

Acoustic, World, and Singer-Songwriter
Towne Crier Cafe
130 Route 22
Pawling, NY   See Map
Sam Lardner's music draws from a passionately-lived and well-traveled life. Although he is a seasoned veteran of the American folk/acoustic tradition, he has been a full-time resident of Barcelona, Spain long enough for it to have completely permeated his style. Barcelona's musicians can deliver a set of smoking-hot acoustic tunes or settle back for a set of ballads full of rich story telling and melodies that have audiences laughing, crying, singing and, on occasion, even dancing on chairs. Come and experience Barcelona while Sam Lardner & Barcelona are here to visit us!

JIM DAWSON is a seasoned professional with a great many recordings under his belt, and a large body of intensely loyal admirers of his songwriting and his amazing voice. He's warm, genuine and personable, and his magic is especially powerful in concert.

The singer/songwriter made her initial mark on popular culture at the tender age of eight with The Cowsills, the 60s family pop group that not only scored Top Ten singles The Rain, the Park and Other Things, Hair and We Can Fly but also served as the real-life inspiration for TV's fictional Partridge Family. During Susan’s decade with roots-pop supergroup The Continental Drifters, she won the hearts of discerning listeners with her impassioned vocals and personally-charged songwriting, gracing three widely-acclaimed albums and a decade’s worth of riveting performances. Cowsill's vocal talents have beautifully supported recordings from artists as diverse as Dwight Twilley, Redd Kross, The Smithereens, Giant Sand, Nanci Griffith, Carlene Carter and Jules Shear, while her compositions have been covered by The Bangles and Hootie and the Blowfish.

Katie McKrell first took the stage at 5 years old and wowed the house with a spectacular version of The Rattlin' Bog. She has been writing songs and performing ever since. The John Schrader Band will be hitting the main stage at the Ulster County Fair on Friday August 1st at 10pm. The band consistently delivers powerful "slice-of-life" themes in songs laden with big hooks. John's music has been heard on radio across the U.S and overseas. He has been critically acclaimed as a songwriter by press in and out of the U.S. Chronogram Magazine says," His raspy, biting voice is an ideal layer to the driving intensity of his melodic hooks and upbeat grooves...passionate vocals. John's original and diverse stylings are solid... There's an emotional depth. The Poughkeepsie Journal says," John's music and lyrics are melodic, rocking, lucid, intricate and poetic." Stephen Israel from the Times Herald Record says, ""If justice mattered in the music business, John Schrader would be a star!" With Dave DeGraw on Sax and vocals and Sean North on guitar and vocals, 3-part harmonies and a thick sound fill out this acoustic trio This AIN'T folk music!
