Denise Jordan Finley has won a total of SIX awards in 2007 for her songwriting in three noteworthy contests, including: Top Honors in The Great American Song Writing Contest, an international competition; The Walnut Valley Folk Festival, Winfield, Kansas in a Three Categoriy Sweep; and now just in... Two catagories of The Plowshares Annual Songwriting Competition in Phoenixville, Penn.

Pat Jones has been performing regularly around the Rockland area for over 25 years. As a founding member of THE SYLVESTER BROTHERS, he has garnered a wide local following, and has worked on stage and in the studio with many music industry notables. Most recently, he's sung at OD's with Josh Radin as "Pat & Josh". This is his first foray into solo performing, and we're excited at OD's to feature his great musicality. Expect a number of Pat's friends to stop in for a song or two! And, remember... no cover charge! 
I am really happy to be giving this concert at the Colony Cafe as part of the "Women in Music" series.The fabulous Cover Girlz will be treating us to lush harmonies, and I'm happy to have Martin Keith on bass, Ken McGloin on guitar, and some very special surprise guests.

Broadway veteran Quinn, a born & raised “Hudson Valley Guy” brings the Great American songbook to life, with the aid of new & original musical tracks to accompany his first-rate Crooners voice.
The trio of Red Molly will perform two 45 minute sets in a warm and cozy house concert atmosphere. Everything is completely unplugged. The suggested donation is $20 per person which includes refreshments. Advance reservations are required so we know how much food and seating to arrange but all payments will be made at the door.

The Clancy Tradition's origins are found in Ireland in the 1950s when the Clancy family of Moy, County Tyrone, formed a Ceili Band, playing at Irish Country dances and concerts throughout Ireland. In 1960, brothers Pat, Eugene and Brendan Clancy left to tour the United States as the Irish Ramblers, playing at clubs like Gerde's Folk City & Carnegie Hall(!), and recording The Patriot Game for Electra. The musical tradition is currently being passed to the next generation with The Clancy Tradition: Eugene on guitar & vocals, daughter Rosemary Clancy on fiddle & mandolin, son John Clancy on bass, Pat on piano & accordion, daughter Liadain Clancy singing and Mike Melanophy on button accordion. We are honored that they chose the Towne Crier Cafe's stage to perform & record their live album.

Even after ten years, over a thousand gigs and 500,000 miles of touring as a married, music-making couple, singer-guitarists Pete and Maura Kennedy haven’t killed each other. The duo savors each instant in life and in each other’s company, and it shows in their music. The Kennedys have been charming audiences, record buyers and critics for the past decade with their exuberant mixture of folk, rock, country, pop and their own brand of secular gospel, a philosophical depth in their lyrics, and joyful, kinetic performances and recordings.

Nuts In a Blender is back at the #1 Rock Club in the Capital Region. For more than seven years now The Bayou Cafe has been a mainstay of great bands, great food and great music. With in-house lights, great sound system and nice stage, this place is like minature Chance, smack in the middle of all the Albany action. One of our favorite clubs to play.
