Award-winning artist Kunlé (Adekunle Olorundare) is a Toronto-based singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, whose work draws from the deep well of West African storytelling. Born in Nigeria, his music features rich vocals, traditional talking drums, piano and contemporary fingerstyle guitar. He has captivated audiences since the release of his 5-track debut EP ‘Amí N Relé’ in 2015. Kunlé’s recent highlights include a 2024 Dora Mavor Moore Award win for outstanding production for Soulpepper Theatre’s ‘Three Sisters,’ a 2022 Premier’s Awards nomination for music director, composer, performer in Stratford Festival’s ‘Death and the King’s Horseman,’ and a 2015 Folk Music Ontario Awards win for best instrumental. The lead double-single “Ilé L’àbọ̀” and “Cabana” was released March 6 this year, and his new seven-track album ‘Kunlé – The Journey’ was released June 26, 2026.
