Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot- Celebrating the Music of Billy Joel
Pop/Soft Rock
Paramount Hudson Valley Theater
1008 Brown St.
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Mike DelGuidice- Front man Mike DelGuidice, living a dream. After 18 years of playing Billy Joel’s music in his band Big Shot, Mike DelGuidice now lives a dream come true. In October of 2013, Billy Joel heard Mike sing, and then hired Mike on the spot to join his band full time. And now you can see Mike tour with Billy Joel all over the US & world in major arenas and stadiums including every month at the iconic Madison Square Garden. On Billy Joel’s recent SiriusXM Channel you can hear Billy talking about Mike and how much he sounds just like him – “That’s me…I know my voice… That’s a tape…but it was this guy… Mike DelGuidice.”- Bily Joel Mike is the only musician on the planet, and probably the history of music for this type of situation, where the front guy of the band is actually in the band of the artist his band covers. It is the epitome of the Cinderella Story (in his case, Cinderfella).

Peekskill, NY   See Map
Meet and Greet Available!

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Drummer Max Weinberg’s new tour “Max Weinberg’s Jukebox” has one concept that will excite fans: the small venue. Fresh off the hugely successful The River Tour 2016-17 of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, Weinberg brings a truly interactive experience that invites the audience to create, in real time, the set list he and his crack four-piece group will play that night. Performing songs from the glory days of rock and roll your guests get to choose from a video menu of over 200 songs– everything from the Beatles to the Stones to Bruce and The E Street Band’s biggest hits—and hear the group play ‘em the way they want to hear them played!

That’s right—the crowd gets to yell out their choices and Max plays them! This unique approach is fun and satisfying. How many times have you attended a show where you yearned to hear your favorite performer play your favorite song? With Max Weinberg’s Jukebox your dream will be realized

Melding deep-heated flamenco, rumba, salsa and pop to the tune of 20 million albums sold, the Grammy Award-winning hit-makers behind ‘Bamboléo’ celebrate in their very own, blistering tradition – taking audiences back to the south of France with flamenco guitars and booming Spanish vocals. Uniting the family Reyes and the family Baliardo, the band continues a tradition that has drawn famous fans such as Picasso, Cocteau, Dali and Chaplin. From playing on the streets of Cannes and the hedonistic heights of St. Tropez, breaking world music barriers as one of the rare groups to climb the US and World music charts. Featured in the likes of The Big Lebowski, Toy Story 3 and Glee, the band has embraced western classics by Bob Marley, the Doobie Brothers and The Eagles with globe-hopping grace, whilst also incorporating dramatic cues from Brazilian and Caribbean culture. Now bringing the party back to the United States this summer.

Originally recorded by the super group Earth Wind and Fire, FANTASY has fast become a mega hit and an international favorite.

"Not quite country, somewhere beyond folk, Holcombe's music is a kind of blues in motion, mapping backwoods corners of the heart." Rolling Stone Magazine

“there is no one on the contemporary scene like Mr. Holcombe, who somehow can convey raw fury and deep affection at the same time” The Wall Street Journal

“Listen to a Holcombe song and what you’re getting is personality in spades, a narrative so gritty with the noise of tough living that it rarely dips below the red on the authenticity meter." BBC Music

" once seen, never forgotten!" No Depression Magazine

Simon Joyner is touring on his latest album, "Step Into the Earthquake." Joyner is a renowned American singer-songwriter who first came to prominence during the Lo-Fi movement of the early 90's alongside contemporaries mining similar territory like Will Oldham, Peter Jefferies, the Mountain Goats, and Bill Callahan. Joyner was championed early by the late British DJ, John Peel, who famously played Joyner's 1994 LP, "The Cowardly Traveller Pays His Toll", start to finish on one of his BBC programs, initially making Joyner more well known overseas than in his own country. He is often referred to as one of the forefathers of the Omaha music scene and an influence on his friend, Conor Oberst, of Bright Eyes. His discography includes twenty-two full-length recordings. This is a rare chance to see his band in Hudson!

Will Stratton is an American musician living in Beacon, New York. His sixth album, 2017’s Rosewood Almanac, came out on the London label Bella Union

Dragon country, the country of pain, is an uninhabitable country which is inhabited," -Tennessee Williams

Paramount Hudson Valley Arts' (501c3) Executive Director John Amato is proud to announce Recovery Rep's Production of "3 By Tennessee Williams," which consists of three one act plays penned by one of the greatest playwrights of the twentieth century: Tennessee Williams. Unlike many playwrights, Williams (The Glass Menagerie, Street Car Named Desire, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and many others) continued to create short plays throughout his long and storied career. "Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen," "This Property is Condemned," and "I Can't Imagine Tomorrow" are three enigmatic and surprising works chosen for this evening.

"These three plays illuminate the struggle of those who feel alien to the society that surrounds them" said Daniel Amenda, who will direct all three plays. "It shows their strengths and their flaws, and methods on coping."
