“The Godfather of British Blues” is coming to Peekskill’s Paramount! English blues singer, pianist, harmonica player, guitarist, and songwriter John Mayall has an impressive musical career that spans over 50 years. He founded the band John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers in the 1960s. Attracted by the West Coast climate and culture, Mayall then made his permanent move from England to Los Angeles in 1968 and began forming bands with American musicians. Throughout the next three decades, Mayall became further revered for his many jazz/rock/blues innovations featuring such notable performers as Blue Mitchell, Red Holloway, Larry Taylor, and Harvey Mandel. Mayall’s popularity continued with succession of dynamic albums, including the Grammy-nominated Wake Up Call that featured artists Buddy Guy, Mavis Staples, Albert Collins, and Mick Taylor. In 2008 Mayall made the decision to permanently retire the Bluesbreakers name and in 2009 started a new era of touring.

"One of the finest guitar players in the Hudson Valley, hands down." - Radio host Big Joe Fitz, 100.1 Bluesbreak

Petey Hop will have us Rockin' & Rollin', Hoppin' & Boppin' all night long! Pete's music runs the gamut from straight up Rock & Roll to Americana, Electric and Acoustic Blues to Singer/songwriter, and Alternative music. Petey's originals are powerfully written, musically intriguing and downright fun to listen to. Songs like "Little Johnny", "Westside" and the title track, "The Levee" have been met with high praise.

Pete's CD, "The Levee", reached #1 on the Roots Report for radio airplay. It was produced by Grammy-nominated Blues guitarist Duke Robillard, who's worked with many music industry legends. Duke wrote, "To those who don't know [Petey] yet, you will soon!"
