With the popularity of such shows as "American Idol" and "America's Got Talent," this is a great opportunity for these blossoming musicians to showcase their talents in front of entertainment industry professionals, and hone their skills on a stage that, for nearly four decades, has hosted hundreds of musicians while they were "up-and-coming," including Suzanne Vega, Shawn Colvin, Leon Redbone and many, many others. These shows will be held every Sunday, beginning July 10, 2011 until the finale & award ceremony on August 21, 2011.

"Art, poetry and music inspire hope. Hope then inspires the creation of art in turn. Life and nature, and humanity with it, are intertwined with this notion. For art, poetry & music are the products of love. And it's all around us. We share the music we create only to bring people closer to us and closer to each other. We're all in this together so we may as well open an ear and hear where we're all coming from." - Daniel

"Whether Im playing for people or with people, music is about sharing. Especially, though, when I'm experimenting with a song, or even developing one, with other people. Its very fulfilling to experientially share music with others that way. The connection with people that I've found in music I haven't found with anything else. For me, playing music with other people is an elemental form of being, but, its also an expansive form of being. Its about really opening up and connecting with whoever I'm playing music with." -Elisabeth

Singer/Songwriter Showcase
with Steve Chizmadia, Bill Kelly, and Melissa Frabotta
Singer-Songwriter
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar

2011 was a big year for Steve. He was a winner at the HV SongFest Emerging Artist Competition, Wildflower! Music and Art Festival songwriting competition, Woody Guthrie Songwriting Contest (3rd Place) and a Kerrville New Folk finalist. In 2010, he was grand prize winner of the Music 2Life songwriting competition. Steve is well-loved by audiences and critics alike, and 12 Grapes especially!

Bill Kelly, aka "Mr. Americana", has an infectious charm and charisma on stage. On his CD, "Bread on the Waters", songs like "Seraphima" have been applauded by critics. But our favorite has to be "A Bottle of Wine Don't Last Too Long 'Round Here." Could be our theme song.

Melissa has performed at several of our songwriter showcases, including our 500th Performance event. She has a unique and beautiful voice, and her songwriting is fresh and original.

It's the final day of "Grape Jam". Don't miss it! **Free Admission**

The Reddan Brothers are a hard hitting blues/rock trio with the miles to back it. The Reddan Brothers grew up backing legends of blues and rock such as Bill Perry, Popa Chubby and Jimmy Vivino. With their newly released CD “Skeleton Key Sessions” those road miles seem to be put to good use. The group has been seen on such high profile gigs as Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble, Winchester Blues House Festival and the Blues on the Bridge Festival. The youthful energy of the band mixed with seasoned playing makes them a must see trio.

Middletown, NY   See Map
Young Philadelphia songstress Gina Sicilia exploded onto the scene in 2007, as her debut CD, ALLOW ME TO CONFESS, was met with joyous acclaim by fans and critics alike.

She was heralded as a distinctive new voice in the Blues, as well as an insightful songwriter and interpreter of neglected classics in the Rhythm & Blues canon. In 2008 she was nominated for “Best New Artist Debut” at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis, Tennessee, just as her sophomore release HEY SUGAR proved her also to be a legitimate contender in the worlds of Classic Country and Americana. With her new 2011 release, Can't Control Myself, Gina broadens her stylistic palette, infusing even more Soul and Americana into her bedrock influences of Blues and R&B. This CD features seven new Gina Sicilia compositions, as well as three choice covers borrowed from Bobby Bland, Stevie Wonder, and Ike & Tina Turner. Pawling, NY   See Map
When describing Cherish The Ladies, the critics say it best: "It is simply impossible to imagine an audience that wouldn't enjoy what they do" (Boston Globe); "An astonishing array of virtuosity" (Washington Post); "Expands the annals of Irish music in America...the music is passionate, tender and rambunctious" (New York Times). For the past eighteen years, Cherish the Ladies (taken from the name of a traditional Irish jig) have proven themselves worthy of these accolades, growing from a one-time concert concept, featuring the brightest lights in Irish traditional music, to the most successful and sought-after Irish-American group in Celtic music. This powerhouse group combines all the facets of Irish traditional culture --especially the knack for humor-- and puts it forth in an immensely entertaining package.

Southern Rock
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
The SUNDOWN Band has been performing their brand of Southern Rock since 1976. Every time the band's been reviewed, the response is the same: "You will be hard pressed to find another band that performs with the talent, passion, and intensity that these guys bring to the stage every night." (WPDH 101.5 FM).

From the beginning, SUNDOWN played all the legendary Westchester clubs like the Fore 'n Aft, Bottom's Up and The Beachmont, as well as NYC clubs like Lone Star Cafe. Many of the band's life-long fans now bring their teenage kids to experience the band's classic style; unique renditions of Southern Rock classics from bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker, Molly Hatchet and more. They don't just cover the songs, they play them with heart. The highlight of their shows are the duel guitar talents of Ronnie Pauls and Steve Mitchell, which leaves audiences in awe. We can't wait.

The band members’ musical resumes are truly impressive. On keyboards is the legendary Jon Cobert, a five-time Grammy-nominated musician who was, most famously, in John Lennon’s band during the 1970’s. On bass is Tony Tino, who has toured and recorded with Gavin DeGraw, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Clay Aiken, Ronnie Spector, and many others. On drums is Denny McDermott who has toured with David Johansen and recorded with Donald Fagen of Steely Dan. As a guitarist and vocalist, Chris Fox headed successful bands that played hundreds of gigs in the Downtown NYC/Greenwich Village music scene of the ‘80’s and ‘90’s, including opening for nationally-known acts such as David Crosby. After taking time to work and raise a family in Chappaqua, N.Y., he is back to focusing his energies on music.
