New York City, NY   See Map
We're making a rockin' return to a VERY nice club on the LES, just off Essex St. We're doing a full electric set in the cozy downstairs bar area. This looks like a GREAT bill: the night will begin at 7PM with Emily Brooke, Keegan DeWitt from Nashville takes the stage at 8PM, The Woodcocks fly in at 9PM, and The Rhodes close the show at 10PM. And after 11:30PM the upstairs bar gets PACKED with all the beautiful people. Unfortunately, that's when we get kicked out [sigh] to make room for the DJ drone. Of course, you can stay and mingle!

On-street parking is tight, but there's a NYC muni garage 1/2 block south on Essex. Subway F train stops at Second Ave. and E. Houston; walk 3 Avenue blocks East to Essex, then 2 Street blocks South to Rivington.

$10 Cover @ Downstairs Bar, Must be 21+ to enter without fake ID, and the bouncers WILL check.

Andy M Stewart is a Scottish traditional singer and songwriter of near-legendary status who was part of the Scottish "supergroup" Silly Wizard in the 1970s and 80s. Since then he's toured with Gerry O'Beirne and recorded seven solo albums. Many of his songs, such as The Queen of Argyll and The Ramblin Rover, have become Celtic folk standards. Known for his wicked wit and sterling live performances, Andy M. Stewart is among the finest singers in the Scots/Irish traditional genre, with a voice that "conveys more emotion in one line than most singers do in a lifetime." Beacon Herald "Andy M. Stewart is among the finest interpreters of Scottish Folk songs and a wonderful songwriter." The Boston Globe

Gerry O'Beirne hails from the West of Ireland and is a master of the 6- and 12-string guitar, as well as an inspired singer and songwriter himself. He has toured with Patrick Street, The Sharon Shannon Band, Midnight Well, Martin Hayes, Kevin Burke and Andy Irvine.

Leader/founder of the wildly popular Strawbs, Dave Cousins may be the most talented Dylan-influenced songwriter to come out of England. His work fairly resounds of both rebellion and antiquity, as though he were writing protest songs of the 18th or 19th centuries. Haunting melodies abound, carried by his raspy and sincere voice. His new solo release entitled The Boy In The Sailor Suit, has been hailed by critics and listeners alike.

The Laws, Rob CannilloBodles Opera House
39 Main Street
Chester, NY   See Map
The Laws are instantly recognizable by their "tight-as-a-glove" harmony singing and "full of feel" instrumentation. John & Michele's songs cross the boundaries of country, folk, bluegrass and blues and they have shared the stage with everyone from Emmylou Harris to Randy Bachman. The Laws were invited to perform main stage at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival 2004 and 2005 - performing on the closing night and introduced as "Texan's by way of Canada". While it can be tough to be a traveling musician, The Laws have found a recipe for success that keeps them healthy and happy. They do their own cooking and have developed their favorite recipes into a cookbook which has, in turn, led to bookings at major food and wine events, TV appearances and feature articles for their special mix of food and music./ Opening the show: Rob Cannillo

Al Stewart is perhaps best known for his hit songs Year Of The Cat and Time Passages -- just a taste of what this talented singer/songwriter has to offer. Stewart has always had a penchant for combining historical situations, contemporary or otherwise, with personal situations. His first U.S. chart album, Past, Present and Future, introduced fans to Nostradamus and explored his fascination with historical tales. He followed with Year of the Cat, which was an unqualified hit, selling over a million copies and spawning the Top Ten title single.
