The root of the Alexis P. Suter Band's sound is Suter's deep, powerful, commanding, and soulful voice, artfully blending the lines between gospel and blues.
"She is one of those wonderful spirits; she's got her arms around you. You can feel that." - Levon Helm
"It's a rare thing to share the stage with great talent like that young lady." - B.B. King
They have recorded three albums for Brooklyn-based record label, Hipbone Records. The band proudly features backup singer Vicki Bell and drummer Ray Grappone, the principal owners and sound engineers at Hipbone Records, as well as guitarist Jimmy Bennett, bassist Peter Bennett.
The third album, "Love The Way You Roll," will be released on August 15th, with pre-order available on Amazon.
Alexis also has a gospel based group, Alexis P. Suter and the Ministers of Sound, which delivers their mix of Gospel, Blues, Traditional, Poignant, and Time-Honored American Music, in an up-close and personal setting.
Blues Music Award nominee Alexis P Suter is a powerhouse bass/baritone vocalist with the ability to go to "that other place" where singers go when they get lost in the music.
With the singular voice of Miss Suter, The Ministers of Sound feature the multi-faceted talents of Ray Grappone (APSB, Buster Poindexter, Levon Helm) on drums and percussion, Vicki Bell (APSB, Open Door, Corey Daye) on vocals and percussion and the phenomenal Ross Rice (The Coolers with Donald "Duck" Dunn, Steve Potts, Adrian Belew, Steve Earle, Rufus Thomas) on piano and organ.
