Danielle's Vocal Tip of the Month |
Danielle's One-Minute Meditation of the Month |
||
Woodlark Studio was founded in 1993 by singer and voice teacher, Danielle Woerner. Its mission is to bring the healing power of song to a wide audience through performances, audio tapes, individual instruction, workshops, and written materials.
Danielle, called "one of the shining lights of New York's musical life" by The New York Post, is an accomplished soprano who sings an extraordinary variety of music: classical and operatic, musical theater, jazz, improvisational, pop, folk, and world music. A gifted teacher and workshop leader, she also works with voices in a therapeutic capacity.
She sings with groups as diverse as the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Amato Opera, Big Blue Big Band, Rhinebeck Theatrical Society, Hudson Valley Musical Theatre Company. She even occasionally loves doing offbeat comedy with performance artists Mikhail Horowitz and Gilles Malkine, and has been known to sing and play gongs with the Balinese gamelan Giri Mekar, and with Javanese-inspired Gamelan Son of Lion.
