“Kristina has proven to be a force in the vocal jazz arena” – Cyrille Aimee

“Indie-voiced Kristina Koller mixes jazz and bohemia…Gotta see her!” - JazzWeekly

Kristina Koller, an accomplished and original contemporary jazz vocalist, composer and arranger, will present music from her debut album ‘Perception’.

A rising stars in jazz, Koller has developed quickly into a highly individual vocalist, melding jazz, funk, R&B and alt-rock sounds into her songs. Kristina arranges tunes in unique ways, knowing that adding to the legacy of jazz is much more important than recreating the performances of others. Kristina culled her musical chops in the NYC jazz scene, performing at jazz haunts such as Smalls, Smoke, Minton’s, Mezzrow as well as The Apollo Theater.

Kristina was a featured Discovery Artist at the 2017 Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival and her quintet were semi-finalists in the 2017 DCJazzPrix competition.

Bernard (Pretty) PurdyThe Falcon
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Which musician did Aretha Franklin definitely NOT want missing from the line-up when she recorded her most inspired albums at the beginning of the seventies. Who provided the back-beat for Steely Dan's "Aja", and for whom have Isaac Hayes, Donny Hathaway, B.B. King, "Sweet" Lou Donaldson, Joe Cocker and Hank Crawford reserved that stool behind the drum kit? The list is incomplete; it must be, because no other drummer in the last three decades has seen the interior of a recording studio as often as Bernard "Pretty" Purdie. A native of Elkton, Maryland - Purdie has laid down the beat on over 3000 albums to date.

The legendary drummer's style is described as the "funkiest soul beat" in the business. Purdie has never limited his talents, but has consistently sought out new musical experiences, anchoring sessions with the Rolling Stones, James Brown and Tom Jones with equal ease. "DRIVE" and "GROOVE" are definitely not missing from his vocabulary.

Classic R&R Show
with Ceesar, Bernie Servodio, Billy Beehler, George McGann, Dave Mucci
The Falcon
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
The Ceesar band has been playing some of the most memorable classic rock - covering Led Zepplin, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Eagles, Jethro Tull, Steely Dan, Beatles, and Tom Petty among others. The band plays with such an infectious energy that you can’t help but get pulled in.

Bernie has the ability to capture the quality of an artist’s voice no matter who he is covering. Billy will send chills through you with the intensity of his guitar playing while the rhythm section, Bass player George McGann and Drummer Dan Gamma, are putting down a tight solid groove to lay the foundation for the music that will move you before you know you are even moving.

The chemistry that is created by these four musicians only comes around once maybe twice through a musician’s career. Ceesar Classic R&R Show is classic rock at its best.

Featuring: Bernie Servodio / Vocals, Billy Beehler / Guitar and Vocals, George McGann / Bass and Dave Mucci / Drums and Vocals

with Kristen Graves, Lindsey Wilson
Folk/Traditional
Memorial United Methodist Church

White Plains, NY   See Map
Kristen Graves was recently reviewed in the NY Times as the "new generation of folk music". With catchy songs, a penchant for storytelling, and inspiring lyrics, Kristen has been delighting audiences performing nearly 200 shows per year. While constantly traveling she makes sure that there is time to be part of the humanitarian organizations whose work she admires and inspire her. As a result Kristen's performances are a stirring combination of music and justice.

Lindsey Wilson, a singer-songwriter with a flair for nostalgia with her memorable mix of 70's style urban folk rock and conscious lyrics. In 2012, Lindsey released her first EP of original compositions -- Songs in the Key of 9. Lindsey embraces issues of the heart and mind in her original music. She writes love songs, protest tunes, and lyrics of empowerment. Influenced by Nina Simone, Joan Armatrading, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Karen Carpenter, Richie Havens, and Tracy Chapman but her message is all her own.

Open mic sign-up at 7 p.m. Gregory Callahan of Hyde Park did some acting in college and in community theaters, and would on occasion land a singing role. A non-instrumentalist himself, Greg would sometimes accompany singer-songwriter friends as a back-up singer or do solo blues covers in coffee houses and open mics. In more recent years, he's sung in various choral groups and church choirs for which he did solo performances that were well received. The positive feedback prompted Greg, by now in his 50s, to take vocal lessons and attend several vocal workshops. Greg has become a regular at area open mics and has given a number of concerts. Greg’s new CD is aptly titled Long Overdue. Greg will be accompanied by Eric Garrison.
